2014 Athletics New Zealand Long Distance Walks Championships Saturday 15th November, Ngataringa Bay, Devonport Auckland 2014 Championships Timetable Friday 14th November 5pm- 6pm: The course will be open for inspection. Saturday 15th November 6.30am: The course is open for inspection. All athletes must be present inside the call room 20 minutes before their event starts. Uniforms and Numbers: All competitors must be registered with Athletics New Zealand and must compete in their Club uniform. Competition numbers for athletes will be available at the venue and must be collected 30 minutes prior to the first event. Athletes will receive two numbers. One must be worn on the front and one on the back of the competition uniform. Athletes are reminded of the rules on advertising and not to deface the competition number. Anti-Doping Testing Athletes may be required for Anti-Doping testing after their competition. Athletes are reminded that they should ask for a Team Manager or support person to accompany them should they so wish. Results ad Medal Ceremony Official Results will be posted at the Technical Information Centre ASAP after each event. Medals will be awarded in each Championship grade. The Medal Presentations will take place after the completion of all Championship events. Full results will be available on www.athletics.org.nz after the Championships. Rules, Protests and Disputes These Championships will be conducted under the rules of the IAAF and Athletics New Zealand. Protests concerning the result or conduct of an event must be made within 30 minutes of the official announcement of the result of that event. Any protest in the first instance shall be made orally to the Referee by the athlete or by a person acting on his/her behalf. The Referee may decide on the protest or refer the matter to the Jury of Appeal. If the Referee makes a decisions, there shall be a right of appeal. An appeal to the Jury must be made in writing, signed by the athlete or their representative and shall be accompanied by a $50 fee, within 30 minutes of the official announcement of the decision made by the Referee. This fee will be forfeited if the appeal is not allowed.
