TERMS & CONDITIONS (“T&Cs”)

PROMOTION PERIOD
1. The Hong Leong Bank’s (97141-X) (“HLB”) “Little Fluffy Branch Open House” (“Open House”)
and 50 selected HLB Branch Open House on the Participating Dates and Time as set out in Table
1 (“Branch Open House Promotion”) commences on 14 November 2014 and ends on 22
November 2014, both dates inclusive (“Promotion Period”), unless notified otherwise. Both the
Open House Promotion and Branch Open House Promotion are collectively referred to as
Promotions.
ELIGIBILITY
2. The Promotions are open to all New-to-Bank and existing Individual customers including Malaysian
and non-Malaysian Residents and Non-individual customers (“Customers”), unless notified
otherwise.
3. For the avoidance of doubt:
(i) New-To-Bank (“NTB”) Customers refer to new customers who do not have any account with
HLB prior to the Promotion Period;
(ii) Non-individual customers refer to Associations, Clubs, Schools, Societies, Non-profitable
Organizations, Sole Proprietors, Partnerships and Professional Practices duly registered or
incorporated in Malaysia, excluding companies and bodies corporate.
4. The Promotions are open to the Customers of the following conventional accounts (“Participating
Accounts”):

PROMOTION MECHANICS
(i) Sign-up Gift
5. The first fifty (50) NTB Customers who successfully apply for a new CASA during the Promotion
TM
Period are entitled to receive a McDonald’s® Happy Meal Voucher worth Ringgit Malaysia 6
(RM6) (“Sign-Up Gift”).
6. The Sign-Up Gift is limited to one (1) per NTB Customer on a first-come-first-serve basis, subject to
availability.

(ii) CASA Early Bird Gifts
7. Customers are eligible for the following Early Bird Gifts (“Gifts”) during the Promotion Period subject
to the fulfillment of the criteria set out in the table below (“Eligible Customers”)
8. For the avoidance of doubt, Eligible Customers shall include the NTB Customers.
All deposits must be new funds. “New Funds” is defined as:
(a) Cash, interbank GIRO, new funds received via telegraphic transfer from other banks, local
cheque or banker’s cheque issued by other banks and deposited into CASA of the Eligible
Customers; and
(b) Redeemed equity unit trust funds, bonds/sukuk and Hong Leong Invest Safe that are redeposited into any of the CASA of the Eligible Customers.
9.
“New funds” are NOT:
(a) Maturing Fixed Deposit (“FD”), Term Deposit-i (“TDI”), General Investment Account (“GIA”) or
premature withdrawal of FD, TDI or GIA;
(b) Inter-branch transfer within HLB including third (3rd) party transfer.
10. The Gifts will be given to the Eligible Customers at the time of the New Funds placement at the
respective HLB branches.
11. The Gifts are valid on a first-come-first-serve basis, limited to one (1) Gift for each Eligible
Customer throughout the Promotion Period. Notification will be given in the event the Gifts are out of
stock by way of posting on the HLB’s website at www.hlb.com.my (“HLB’s Website”).
(iii) Count The Little Fluffy Contest
12. Eligible Customers who provide the correct or closest answer on the total number of Little Fluffy in
the poster by way of entry form submission at the Branch Open House Promotion (“Winners”) will be

eligible to win McDonald’s® Happy Meal
voucher(s) worth Ringgit Malaysia One Hundred
(RM100) (“Prizes”) for each Eligible Customer.
13. A total of one (1) Prize per branch will be given out during the Branch Open House Promotion i.e.
one (1) Prize per Participating Branch on the day of the Branch Open House Promotion.
14. In the event of a tie, HLB Participating Branch will then randomly draw a Winner for the day.
15. Prizes will be presented at 4:00p.m. during the Branch Open House Promotion.
16. In the event the Winners are not present to collect the Prizes on-the-spot, they shall be contacted on
but not later than three (3) days of the Participating Dates of the Participating Branches as set out in
Table 1 to collect the Prizes from the respective home branches latest by 30 November 2014.
Otherwise, the Prizes will be forfeited.

17. HLB gives no representation or warranty with respect to the quality or suitability of the Sign-Up Gift,
Gifts and Prizes (collectively “Promotion Gifts”). The Eligible Customers shall deal directly with the
provider and/or manufacturer for all warranty information.
18. The Promotion Gifts will be provided on an “As Is Where Is” basis. The Promotion Gifts featured in
all printed materials and/or HLB’s Website is for illustration purposes only. Any props, accessories
or equipment featured with the Promotion Gifts in any pictorial materials are for decorative purposes
and shall not form part of the Promotion Gifts;
19. The Promotion Gifts are non-transferable to any third (3rd) party and non-exchangeable for up-front
cash, credit, cheque or in kind;
20. HLB shall not be liable in any circumstances for any loss, torn, damaged, expired or stolen
Promotion Gifts and any request for replacement of the Promotion Gifts shall not be entertained by
HLB.
GENERAL
21. By participating in the Promotion, the Eligible Customers:
(i) Agree that HLB’s decision on all matters relating to the Promotion, Promotion Gifts shall be
final, conclusive and binding on all Eligible Customers and no further correspondence and/or
appeal to dispute the HLB’s decision shall be entertained;
(ii) Agree to be bound by the T&Cs of the Promotion;
(iii) Agree that the T&Cs herein and the HLB’s General Terms and Conditions of Accounts are
read as an entire agreement and if there is any discrepancy, the specific T&Cs herein shall
prevail to the extent of such discrepancy; and
(iv) Agree to access the HLB’s Website at regular time intervals to view the T&Cs and ensure to
be kept up-to-date on any change or variation to the T&Cs.
22. HLB reserves the right:
(v) To add, delete, suspend or vary the T&Cs contained herein, either wholly or in part including
but not limited to substituting the Promotion Gifts with other products of similar value at its
absolute discretion, by way of posting on the HLB’s Website or in any other manner which
HLB deems practical, in order to give prior notice to the Eligible Customers;
(vi) To disqualify any Eligible Customers for any reason whatsoever as HLB may in its absolute
discretion deem fit to participate in the Promotion and/or be entitled to the Promotion Gifts;
and
(vii) To forfeit the Promotion Gifts in the event of non-compliance to the T&Cs herein.
23.
Eligible Customers who have committed or are suspected of committing any fraudulent, unlawful
or wrongful acts in relation to any of the facilities granted by HLB or have been declared bankrupts
(pursuant to a petition by either HLB or by any third party) or are subject to any bankruptcy
proceedings at any time prior to or during the Promotion Period shall NOT be eligible to participate
in the Promotion and/or NOT entitled for the Promotion Gifts.
24.
In the event of any discrepancy between these T&Cs as compared to any advertising, promotional,
publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with the Promotion, the final T&Cs on t
HLB’s Website shall prevail.
25.
The T&Cs herein shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia and
the Eligible Customers agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of Malaysia.
