As 2014 draws to a close the Library Board and staff look
forward to changes in both the building and services in 2015.
Phase 1 of our building Master Plan calls for renovating existing
spaces to make better use of former staff and collection areas in
response to how the public currently uses the building.
Construction is slated to begin in April. We plan to remain
open during construction, and we will keep the public
informed about this exciting process in many ways including
lobby displays, e-newsletter articles and social media.
April brings another change as we (SWAN) move to a new
library catalog system which is expected to greatly improve
services. Library staff will be training with the new system over
the winter and will be ready and able to work with patrons on the
changes as the upgrade happens. More information on the new
catalog will be shared in the spring newsletter.
Change is everywhere in society, and your library is no
exception. What will not change is
our commitment to customer service
as we adapt the Library building and
Catalog to meet the needs of the
Woodridge community.
Looking forward to 2015, all of us at
the Library wish our patrons a happy holiday season!

On Saturday, February 28, at 2 p.m., Father Clements
will discuss his participation in the Civil Rights
Movement and his efforts to shine a light on Americans
whose voices we do not always hear, including children
in need of adoption and people with addictions. Please
