Phase 1 of our building Master Plan calls for renovating existing spaces to make better use of former staff and collection areas in response to how the public currently uses the building. Construction is slated to begin in April. We plan to remain open during construction, and we will keep the public informed about this exciting process in many ways including lobby displays, e-newsletter articles and social media. April brings another change as we (SWAN) move to a new library catalog system which is expected to greatly improve services. Library staff will be training with the new system over the winter and will be ready and able to work with patrons on the changes as the upgrade happens. More information on the new catalog will be shared in the spring newsletter. Change is everywhere in society, and your library is no exception. What will not change is our commitment to customer service as we adapt the Library building and Catalog to meet the needs of the Woodridge community. Looking forward to 2015, all of us at the Library wish our patrons a happy holiday season! — Susan McNeil-Marshall 11/10/14 6:43 AM WOODRIDGE PUBLIC LIBRARY Showing at the Library Art Gallery December - Morton Arboretum Photographic Society: Digital Photography January - Kate Zdenek – Digital Photography February - Terri Niccoli - Berry: Oils and Pastels See woodridgelibrary.org for more information.
