Thursday, November 20 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m Wagner College's Chai Society is
sponsoring the U.S. premier of director Michael Verhoeven's film, "Let's Go" based on the
autobiography of Laura Waco, a German Jew who was born to Polish parents who fled
Poland after the Holocaust. Director Verhoeven has won numerous awards, including the
Yad Vashem Prize for his explorations of the war and post-war issues. Both Mr.
Verhoeven and Ms. Waco will be present to answer questions. The program will take
place in the Manzulli Board Room of Foundation Hall. There is no charge, but

DAVENING AND SHIURIM
HIGH SCHOOL
On Sunday November 9th Rabbi Lehrfield will be starting his Gemara Shiur that will be given every
other Sunday at 9:45 AM or after the 9 o’clock minyan in the Beit Midrash. We are looking for $72
sponsors for these classes.
There is a Mishna Brurah learning group every night at 9:15pm for 15 minutes prior to Maariv. Please

A Course on “Tefillah”, based on the teachings of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik, will be given by
Norman Linzer on alternate Tuesday mornings at 10:00 AM in the main shul. It will alternate with
Tuesday class given by Rabbi Lehrfield. Among the major objectives are to understand the Rav’s
conception of tefillah, to utilize tefillah as a means of developing a relationship with God, and to
enhance the meaning of one’s davening. The text is the Koren Mesorat HaravSiddur, 2012, OU Press,
which can be purchased from Amazon for about $21. Additional handouts will be distributed. The
course will be taught seminar-style, thereby maximizing participation. Women and men are welcome.

AMIT News: Call Myra Lanter to reserve your tickets for JOSEPH and the AMAZING TECHNICOLOR
DREAMCOAT. Performances are at the State Theatre in New Jersey on Saturday night December 27

YOUNG MARRIEDS EVENTS
This Friday night, November 14th, there will be an Oneg for the Young Marrieds men in Rav
Polakoff's home (286 Sheraden Ave) at 7:30pm. Come spend a night filled with Torah, singing, cholent,
food and drinks!.
The next Young Marrieds minyan will be this Shabbos, November 15th, Parshas Chayei Sara at
9:30am in the teen lounge. Following davening, there will be a light kiddush.
On Friday night, November 21st, the Young Marrieds will be having their annual Friday Night Meal in
the social hall. There will be babysitting services for children ages 2 and up. If you plan on attending

COMMUNITY AWARENESS
All teachers- please pay attention to your students and take note whether they are in need of any
clothing, a warm winter coat or snacks for school. All the clothes are distributed very discretely and
privately without anyone’s knowledge including the parents. Just contact Rachelit after 4:30pm at 718983-9664.
Winter is here! We are accepting coats in excellent condition. Men, Women’s and Children clothing of
all sizes are needed. All Clothing may be dropped off at the FRONT DOOR of 1097 Willowbrook Road,
Sunday thru Thursday between the hours of 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM only. Anything left at the side door will
be thrown out with sanitation. All the clothes are distributed very discreetly. If you are in need of clothing
