O Giver of all good and perfect gifts, we come before You overwhelmed by
Your generous providence in our lives: for jobs and homes, for friends and
family, for fellowship and laughter, for Word and song. We have often
received these blessings as if we were deserving of them. Forgive such

TODAY’S ANNOUNCEMENTS
Welcome to all who worship with us today! We are delighted that you are here with
us and especially welcome all newcomers. Thank you for signing and passing the Friendship
Pad on the pews. If you’re new today, please give us your address and phone number. If
you are looking for a new church home, we trust that the service today will be a blessing to
you and that you will continue to worship and serve the Lord with us! New members are
received into our church by either transfer from a previous church or by profession or
reaffirmation of faith. Inquirers’ Luncheons are held every other month on Sundays from
noon to 2:00 p.m. in which newcomers can learn more about Christianity, the Presbyterian
Church and membership at First Presbyterian Church of Ocala. Please speak with one of
our pastors after the service if you have questions or pastoral concerns, and again, welcome
to our First family of faith!
Large print hymnals and hearing aids are available for your convenience from the
ushers. If any hearing aid does not work, please see an usher for a replacement.
Parents, please be sure to get today’s worship bulletin for your children with activities for
them on the ushers’ table in the narthex. Ask an usher for information.
Our last Inquirers’ Luncheon for 2014 is today! If you have been worshiping with
us and would like to learn more about our church, please join us at noon for a
complimentary luncheon in Fellowship Hall.
If you haven’t turned in your 2015 Estimate of Giving card, please
dedicate it to the Glory of God by placing it in an offering plate today. Extras are
available in the Narthex of the Sanctuary and in the back of Fellowship Hall. Each
estimate that we receive will make a huge impact toward accomplishing our
exciting 2015 mission and ministry goals! So far, a majority of our estimates for the new
year are increases!

November 26 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Matthews Lutheran Church (3453 N.E. Silver
Springs Road, Ocala).

KidsKram Christmas Craft Extravaganza - Monday, December 1 at 5:30 p.m. in
Fellowship Hall. This evening is full of crafting and creating as we kick-off the Christmas
season in a very EXTRAORDINARY way! Spend time with your child, making memories of
creating special crafts that will adorn your home this season, while snacking on hot
chocolate and classic Christmas goodies. There is no cost – but you MUST pre-register
your child(ren) for the event. Contact Ms. Jacque by calling the church office (629-7561)

Christmas Hope – Did you see the beautiful Christmas giving tree when you walked in
today? We will be spreading Christmas Hope to the Thornwell Home for
Children this year. Thornwell, located in South Carolina, is a Presbyterian Home for
Children, some of whom live there temporarily and others permanently. We have two trees
set up – one in Fellowship Hall and the other in the Narthex of our Sanctuary, with gift
requests. December 7th is our deadline for all gifts to be brought in to the church
office. Thornwell is one of our church’s benevolences.
Young Adults Luncheon – Sunday, December 7! We’ll meet at the Bedenbaughs’
home (1026 SE 9th Avenue) at 12:30 p.m. Bring a side dish to share. Speak with
Director of Music and Youth & Young Adult Ministries David Bedenbaugh (282-7318) if you
plan to attend.
Interfaith Emergency Services is in urgent need of the following items: Canned
vegetables and fruit, canned beans, peanut butter, jelly or jam (plastic containers preferred),
spaghetti sauce, pasta and rice, macaroni and cheese, cereal and oatmeal, canned soup,
canned meats (tuna, chicken), coffee or tea. Interfaith’s food pantry is extremely low
right now; and as they are getting into the holiday season and colder months, there is an
increase in clients. Currently Interfaith is providing food for over 400 families a
week, and they have started decreasing the amount of food provided, because there’s just
not enough to meet the need. Thanks for placing your donations in the Narthex or at the
back of Fellowship Hall on Sundays or bring them to the church office during the
week or contact Interfaith directly ( 629-8868) to arrange for a pickup.
Volunteers are needed for Salvation Army Bell Ringing, especially Friday and
Saturday, December 12 and 13, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Publix in Churchill
Square. Please call Gera Fleming (629-6065) to sign up!

following at noon. Our own Jo Ann Brandt will ring handbells for Christmas. The

if needed and don’t forget to bring paper goods to donate to Interfaith and
