TO THE PARENTS OF FOUNDATION Dear Parents, Monday 17th November, 2014 It is with pleasure the Foundation teachers inform you about our up and coming International Day this Thursday 20th November. Each class will be representing a different country – on this day your child will be asked to dress in the colours or costume of the country. Please find below your child’s class and teacher’s name with all the requirements for this special day. KG A – Ms Betty: Country: France: Girls to wear colourful dresses. Boys to wear the flag colours of red, white and blue OR the costume of Napoleon Bonaparte. For food please bring in one of the following, croissants, French Patisserie, baguette, crepes or French Cheeses. ALL CHILDREN TO BRING ONE PASSPORT SIZE PHOTO. KG B – MS Asmaa: Country: China: Children to wear traditional Chinese Dress or the flag colours of red and yellow. For food please bring in one of the following, rice or noodles with chicken and soya sauce, noodles with vegetables or a dessert. KG C – Ms Dana: Country: USA: Children to wear a Disney Character Costume OR flag colours of red, white and blue. For food please bring in one of the following, doughnuts, hot dogs, cookies or hamburgers. KG D – Ms Lamia: Country: Italy: Boys to wear black shirt and black pants OR a black suit. Girls to wear a party dress (Formal not casual). For food please bring one of the following,, pizza, pasta or a dessert ( Tiramisu, Panforte, Bocconotto). Rec A – Ms Ruba: Country: Spain: Girls to wear Spanish Dresses OR the flag colours of red and yellow. Boys to wear Traditional Costume OR Football Club Clothing (Real Madrid, Barcelona). For food please bring one of the following, paella, taco’s, nacho’s, fried shrimps or fried chicken. Rec B – Ms Rubina: Country: Nigeria: Children to wear traditional costumes OR flag colours of Dark Green and White. For food please bring one of the following, Jollof rice, fried rice, suya, Chin Chin or Puff Puff. (Please see attached sheet for more details). Rec C – Ms Nesrin: Counrty: United Kingdom (England): Children to wear flag colours of red, white and blue OR football teams from England (Manchester United, Arsenal). For food please bring one of the following, pizza, burgers, Yorkshire pudding, meat sandwiches, fish and chips or cheesecake. Rec D – Ms Dominica: Country:China: Children to wear traditional Chinese Dress or the flag colours of red and yellow. For food please bring one of the following, chicken spring roll, deep fried fish, chicken, shrimp or special fried rice, chicken hakka noodles, special seafood grilled, chicken Manchurian or cheesecake. Rec E – Ms Dina: Country: India: Children to wear traditional clothes, Sari OR the flag colours of green, orange and white. For foods please bring one of the following, biryani, chappattis, sambosa, chilli chicken, butter chicken, cheese naan, gulab jamun (sweets). Please if you have any questions ask your child’s teacher – we are all looking forward to a great day on Thursday with lots of fun activities in the classrooms.
