adults or families in the areas of child and adolescent mental health, child protection, specialist services, foster care and residential care. Experience of working in the area of sexual abuse is not necessary.

Conference Theme
The overarching theme of the conference is to explore how we as professionals can understand and respond thoughtfully to issues around intimate boundaries and privacy in children’s lives today, in particular those who have experienced sexual abuse. The focus will be both practical and reflective. We want
to examine how we can make things better for children caught up in the various professional systems designed to respond to child sexual abuse (CSA)
concerns. Throughout the day the conference will invite participants to actively
reflect and consider the following questions:

Booking Details
Professor Ray Bull:
Ray Bull is Professor of Criminal Investigation (part-time) at the University of
Durham. In 2012 he was elected ‘President-Elect’ of the European Association of
Psychology and Law and in 2010 was “Elected by acclaim” an Honorary Fellow
of the British Psychological Society (this honour is restricted to a maximum of
40 living psychologists). In 2010 he received from the scientific committee of
the fourth international conference on Investigating Interviewing a “Special
Prize” for his “extensive contributions to investigative interviewing”. In 2009, Professor
Bull received from the “International Investigative Interviewing Research
Group” the ‘’Senior Academic Award’ for his significant lifetime contribution to
the field of investigative interviewing. In 2008 Professor Bull received from the
European Association of Psychology and Law the ‘Award for life-time Contribution to Psychology and Law’. He has advised a large number of police forces
in several countries on interviewing and has regularly testified as an expert witness.
Mary Rose Brady:
Mary Rose Brady has over 20 years experience as an art psychotherapist and
educator in the UK and abroad specialising in child mental health, sexual abuse,
and trauma. She co-established and co-delivered the first post graduate level
training in Art Psychotherapy in the Netherlands, accredited by London University. Presently, Mary Rose is head of Parenting and Creative Therapies at Coram
where she is responsible for strengthening evidence based practice which includes the roll out of evidence based creative therapies with post adopted children and their families. Her department is currently moving towards establishing the first National Centre for Creative Therapies.

Day Delegate Rate - €75
Fees must be received at the time of booking in order to ensure your space.

without fees attached will not be secure until payment is received. Fee includes
