KONOS-RGWM Radio Gateway Mototrbo General Description KONOS-RGW Mototrbo is a gateway device supporting calls and signalling between the Mototrbo digital radio network stations and the KONOS-DOT dispatcher consoles or any other devices or systems communicating over the IP network. That means the KONOS-RGW users can use services of the Mototrbo radio network over the IP network. KONOS-RGW provides a gateway to the Mototrbo radio system and comprises a specialized hardware consisting of the following components: Industrial PC Vehicle Motorola Mototrbo radio station Components for power supply, including batteries and chargers, guaranteeing approximately 5 hours full operation during the mains failure. n n n KONOS-RGW is used in locations with optional coverage by Mototrbo radio network and access to IP network. To ensure maximum availability, the device has two Ethernet interfaces, allowing a backup connection to the IP network. Scan – a functionality monitoring communication in several radio groups. Private Call (semiduplex) – provides communication between the radio station and a KONOS-RGW user (dispatcher) in a half-duplex operation. In principle, a user can call any station within the system. Text Messaging – supports sending of short text messages between radio stations and dispatcher consoles. The message can contain up to 140 characters. Database Supported Functionalities KONOS-RGW Mototrbo Radio Gateway supports the following functionalities: Group Call – takes place within its radio group. Communication within a radio group is available to all subscribers involved in that group. KONOS-RGW may be part of several radiol groups and the user can switch among them. PBX File archiving Monitoring IP network Mototrbo Gateway Parallel connection of dispatcher consoles – up to ten dispatcher consoles can use simultaneously one KONOS-RGW. Recording – KONOS-RGW supports simulta-neous recording by two ReDat3 recording devices. Recorded are all private and group calls processed by KONOSRGW, including additional information such as the number of the initiating radio station/dispatcher console and the PTT activity. The following features are supported for the purposes of administering and monitoring of KONOS–RGW: Remote access using SSH protocol. Remote administration using the CLISH command interface. Monitoring from the management system using SNMP, including extend MIB. Remote logging using syslog protocol. n n n n Properties Signalling Protocol: SIP Proprietary Radio Protocol over SIP Functionalities to be implemented in next versions: Support of Direct Mode Support of Emergency Operation n n Hardware Specifications Radio: Frequency Range: VHF (136-174MHz), UHF1 (403470MHz), UHF2 (450-527MHz) Channel capacity: 32 (only one channel used) Channel spacing: 12.5/20/25 kHz Transmitter Power Output: 1-25W (403-470MHz), 1-40W (450-527MHz), 1-25W (136-174MHz) Digital Sensitivity 5% BER: 0.3 uV Frequency Stability (-30 °C +60 °C +25 °C) + / 0.5 ppm n n n n n n Network: Ethernet Network Interface: 2 x 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 n n n Media Codec: G.711 n Power Supply: Input Voltage: 230V AC Max input power: 170W (including battery charging) Normal operation input power 30W n n n Environmental Conditions: Air Temperature: 0 to +50 °C Humidity: 0% ~ 80% (relative humidity, non–condensing) KONOS-RGW parts are supplied fully assembled in a 19" rack (12 RU height). n n n TTC MARCONI s.r.o.
