City of Moraine Division of Police Police Blotter Week Ending 12-18-14 12-12-14 1121 An officer made a traffic stop on SR4 for speed and found that that driver was DUS. A passenger, Tessa Collins, age 23, was found to have a Middletown warrant and she was arrested. 14-3432 1904 Officers and medics responded to Steak and Shake on the report of an overdose. Nicholas Vamos, age 19, was found unresponsive from a heroin overdose. Charges were prepared on him for drug abuse instrument and drug paraphernalia. 14-3437 12-13-14 0147 An officer noticed an individual staggering down Vance Rd near the City Garage. He found that Austin Handwerker, age 19, was very intoxicated. He was charged with Underage Consumption and turned over to a sober friend. 14-3440 0515 Officers and medics responded to SR741 and S. Dixie Dr on the report of a two car accident. Officers investigation found that Efrain Garcia, age 22, did not have a license and was suspected of driving while intoxicated on alcohol and marijuana. 14-3442 0534 Officers responded to 5405 Whippoorwill Ct on the report of a suicidal subject. The individual was located and transported to a local hospital. 14-3441 12-14-14 Nothing of note 12-15-14 0915 An officer responded to 2736 Quail Ln on the report of a runaway 15 year old female. She was located later that afternoon. 14-3459 1239 Officers responded to the Red Horse Motel on the report of a past occurred theft. The victim alleged that her credit cards were used while she went into rehab in May. The suspect, Robert Kakunes, age 30, was arrested on two warrants. 14-3462 12-16-14 0245 Officers responded to northbound I75 on the report of a single car accident. The officers found Travis Rushofsky, age 25, passed out in the car. He failed field tests and provided a breath sample of .157. He was charged with OVI and transported to the county jail. 14-3471 1004 Officers responded to 2640 Creekwood Circle on the report of a domestic violence. The victim claimed her boyfriend had slapped her, pulled out a handgun and taken her phone from her. Davion Clark, age 20, was arrested by Dayton PD for domestic violence. He was also in a stolen car with a handgun. 14-3473 1428 Officers were called to the Montgomery County Learning Center on the report of an angry student who was trying to get hit by cars in the street. The 16 year old was located, but had to be restrained due to his emotional state. He was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. 14-3475 1547 An officer came to post to investigate the fraudulent use of a credit card at Walmart. The investigation found that a lost credit card was turned over to an employee at Walmart. That employee, Anterria Downey, age 19, used the credit card twice for personal purchases. She was charged with Misuse of Credit card. 14-3478 12-17-14 1453 An officer responded to the 5/3 Bank on the report of a fraudulent check. The teller stated that a fraudulent business check, which had been passed at several other branches was attempted to be cashed at the bank. The suspect fled when it was questioned. The matter is under investigation. 14-3488 12-18-14 0038 Officers and medics responded to 5136 Pensacola Bl on the report of an unresponsive male in the driveway. A 30 year old was found to be barely breathing from a heroin overdose and had to be revived with Narcan. He was transported to a local hospital. 14-3491 1539 An officer took a theft from vending machine report at Walmart. The pop machine vender stated that someone had pried into the machine over the past two months and taken over $100 in cash. 14-3499 Totals: 12 Walmart Calls 6 Cobblegate Apartment Calls 2 Montgomery County Learning Center 2 OVI
