Dear Comrades,
All of us are aware of the sad demise of our officer Sh. Sohan Lal Saini who committed suicide. It
is imperative for our officers to remain calm, have patient and to maintain their cool so as to overcome
the pulls and pressures of job and family. Suicide is not a solution and it adds to the miseries of the
nearer and dearer of person committing suicide. In case of any problems the officer should share with
the peer group, with seniors and family and it’s definite that some solution will be worked out. The
senior colleagues should also act as a guide or mentor for the juniors. Although there is no
compensation for loss of life but in an attempt to lessen the financial hardship of bereaved family, we
made an appeal to officer’s fraternity to contribute. More than Rs.41.66 lac has been deposited in the
account assigned for the same to family. Further in an attempt to rule out the happening of such
incident a Grievance Committee has been constituted under Chairmanship of DGM (HR & Admin),
other members, General Secretary ABOA or person nominated by General Secy. ABOA unit SBP to
examine the representations / grievances of officers.
We are pleased to inform all our comrades that we have been able to get the issuance of circular
regarding enhancement of housing loan to officers from Rs.20.00 Lac to Rs.60.00 lac as agreed in
Bipartite Meeting held between ABOA and SBI, Corporate Centre on 22-12-2014 at Bengaluru. We
have also been able to get enhancement in reimbursement of out of pocket expenses to officers up to
Scale-V @ Rs.1200/- per day for a maximum of 10 (Ten) days for Annual Closing of accounts/Statutory
Audit for the year 2014-15. We request our officer fraternity to work diligently during closing exercise so
as to curtail the number of MOCs to the minimum possible.
Officers of all grades up to TEGS-VII shall be eligible for reimbursement of full Annual Maintenance
Charges for the year of their retirement (on superannuation) even if they retire in the middle of the year.
It has been observed that some disgruntled elements are active in spreading rumors and their rumor
mill is working overtime to spread canards.
Comrades beware of such black sheep and be ready to teach a befitting lesson to such mischievous
elements, who with for their selfish motives are playing with the emotions of the officers fraternity. Such
element are not even hesitating in using indecent language in social media like Face Book or
Whatsapp which is total unbecoming of sane and civilized human.
Please beware of these types of elements in the interest of Association as well as institution.
