CHRISTMAS MESSAGE — My dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Kindly accept my cordial greetings and wishes of this festive season; Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
For the last four weeks, we had embarked on the Advent Journey leading us to the celebration of the birth of
Jesus Christ our Savior. The entire Scripture Readings of Advent time called upon us to ready our hearts and
minds for the Light – Jesus to shine into our lives.
Part of our preparation included the receipt of the Sacrament of Reconciliation; giving us a wonderful Spiritual shower and freeing us from darkness and the stain of sin. Let us all resolve to keep this Light shine in our
lives.
At the Crib, we see the great signs of Hope in the personalities of Mary and Joseph and the baby Jesus. Joseph and Mary were tasked with the parental care of the child Jesus. Mary and Joseph were the first Religious teachers and Instructors in the Faith.
Please present ad when paying, drinks excluded. Not valid with any other offers.
Despite the hardships of the time, like freeing to Egypt, poverty and many more, the family of Joseph and
Mary enjoyed perfect peace, love and joy. May this Christmas fill us with Joy and Hope to overcome our sorrows and anxieties?
Please pray for me for the time I will be for my vacation; leaving for Uganda December 29- 2014 and returning January 30- 2015.
Thank you very much for your prayers and wishes when I celebrated my 62nd Birthday and 33rd Ordination
Anniversary in the Priesthood. God bless you all abundantly.
Sincerely yours - Michael Mugomba
Sing Noel! The Holy Infant Christmas Chorale will present Sing Noel! on Wednesday, Christmas
Eve, December 24 at 4:15pm. Join us before the 5:00 pm Christmas Vigil Mass for a musical
celebration of the season.
Eucharistic Adoration— Eucharistic Adoration is held after Mass every Thursday. This is one of the many
benefits of Eucharistic Adoration:
“A Holy Hour of Eucharistic Adoration is the best way to grow spiritually (outside of Mass)”. (Pope Paul VI).
Location: 5924 Seminole Trail #104, Barboursville, VA 22923
Address: PO Box 488, Ruckersville, VA 22968

Volunteers Needed— Volunteers are needed to do some light housekeeping in the church every other
week opposite of the housekeeper’s schedule. Please contact Fr. Michael or Lillian if you can assist.
EAUS— The Christmas holiday is coming. Elkton Area United Services is in need of these basic foods:
soup, mac and cheese, cereal, peanut butter, and non-perishable items such as toilet paper, paper towels,
soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Every pound of food makes a difference in the life of someone who is
hungry. Please donate to this worthy cause.
