Jesus manifests the powerful, healing love of God by
curing the leper who was forced to live under severe
restrictions by Jewish legislation. He turned to Jesus in
his need and was filled with joy. We are called to imitate
the healing and compassionate Jesus.

Religious Education Fundraiser —February 17th—Come join us for an evening of Feasting and Festivities
before the Fasting Begins! Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner in the hall at 6 p.m., feed your stomach and
your mind while supporting our youth—get your fill of pancakes while playing Lenten Jeopardy. Free Will
Donation, all proceeds to benefit retreat opportunities for our youth. What a great way to kick off Lent!

First Communion & Confirmation Dates— First Communion is scheduled for May 17 and Confirmation is
scheduled for May 31 at 2 p.m. The Most Rev. Francis X. DiLorenzo will be officiating at confirmation this
year. Mark your calendars!
Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat Weekend for Healing After Abortion—In March Rachel’s Vineyard Weekend
Retreats will run back-to-back retreats in two different locations of the Diocese! The retreats are available to
women, men and any person who may have been adversely impacted by an abortion. Participation is strictly
confidential and offers a beautiful opportunity to experience God’s love, forgiveness and compassion in a
loving and safe environment.

Ash Wednesday —There will be Mass and distribution of ashes on Wednesday, Feb. 18th @ 10 a.m.
Stations of the Cross—For those families who can join us, beginning Friday Feb. 20th @ 6 p.m. Stations of the
Cross will begin. This will continue each Friday until Holy Week.
EAUS— Elkton Area United Services is in need of these basic foods: soup, mac and cheese, cereal,
peanut butter, caned fruit, and non-perishable items such as boxed tissues, toilet paper, paper towels,
soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Every pound of food makes a difference in the life of someone
who is hungry. Please donate to this worthy cause. There are food bins for this purpose in the vestibule.
