Hot-rolled DP600-UC
Advanced high strength with excellent stretch formability
characteristics
DP600-UC is a hot-rolled, pickled and oiled advanced high-strength
steel grade. The microstructure of dual phase steels consists of hard
martensitic or bainitic phase interspersed in a soft ferritic matrix.
This microstructure results in a steel grade featuring high strength
combined with excellent drawability. DP600-UC also has a low yield
ratio (Rp/Rm), resulting in a strong work hardening capacity, which
means that the component increases in strength during the sheet
stamping process. This makes DP600-UC especially suited for complex
shaped components requiring high strength in final form.
Typical applications of DP600-UC include relatively complex shaped
wheels and chassis components which require high strength for crash
or durability performance.
Mechanical properties
DP600-UC conforms to both the Euronorm HDT580X and the VDA 239
HR330Y580T-DP specifications. The typical mechanical properties for
DP600-UC are shown below in the table:

Chemical composition
The chemical composition fits with both the Euronorm HDT580X
and the VDA239 HR330Y580T-DP specifications, as well as the more
demanding specifications required by the major automotive
manufacturers.
