Players must be 40 years or over on the date of the tournament (born before 29 May 1975) Three players over 35 allowed per squad (born before 29 May 1980) Games will consist of two halves of 15 minutes each. There will be a 5 minute break between halves. Teams are drawn into two pools of six teams in each pool. The top two sides at the conclusion of the league fixtures in each pool will contest cross section semi-finals. The two winners of each semi-final will then meet in the final. The rest will play cross section games to determine their final overall tournament position. In other words the two teams finishing sixth in each pool will play each other to determine who finishes twelve and eleven as will the two finishing fifth, fourth and the two finishing third. The two losing semi-finalists will play each other to determine who finishes third and fourth overall. In the event of a drawn playoff, semi or final, the result will be determined by a penalty shootout as per FIFA rules. No extra time will be played. In the event of two or more teams finishing on the same number of points at the conclusion of the group stages, the following will apply (in the order below): better goal difference & if still not conclusive highest number of goal scored & if still no result the winners of the league encounter between these 2 teams If no result a penalty shootout as per FIFA rules. Punctuality rules: 5 min. late: offending side concede 1 goal to the opposition 10 min. late: game forfeited. The team present wins 3-0 (4 points allocated). If a side arrives under 10 minutes late, the play time gets reduced by the number of minutes the side was late. (i.e. 7 minutes late = reduce play time by 7 minutes) Players’ ID’s are to be submitted with the team registration list. Players are to have identification (ID/drivers’ licence/players cards) ON HAND before taking the field for the opposing team captain to check if so required. No player may play for two different teams. Eight substitutes may be used during the game on a rolling substitute basis. Provided the player coming off is off the field before the player going on takes to the field. The player going on may not go onto the pitch until the substituted player comes off and the players touch hands off the field before the replacement goes on. Substitutions may only take place on the half way line. There is no need to notify the ref of the substitution. Offside only applies in the last 18 yards of the field of play. No protests or appeals will be entertained. The referees and tournament directors decision is final. Any player sent off in the tournament will automatically miss the next match. He may be suspended for more than one game depending on the seriousness of the offence. This decision will be taken by the tournament director in consultation with the match officials concerned. Any player booked during a game will be sin binned for 5 minutes. On receiving a third booking in the tournament he will be required to miss the next match his team plays. In the event of teams not enforcing this they will lose all the points from the next game in which the offending player played and their opponents in that game will be awarded a win and 4 points. POINTS 3 for a win 2 points for a score draw 1 point for a goalless draw 1 bonus point for scoring 3 or more goals in a game (note: 6 goals will only earn one point) 4 points for a “no-show” Teams fielding unregistered players will forfeit all points earned during any of the games in which the unregistered player played.
