Writing your Personal Statement The personal statement is a very important part of your application and should be well written. It is recommended that you compose your personal statement in a word processing document before submitting it with your application. Your personal statement should clearly articulate why you have chosen the major that you are applying for, and what your long-term goals and aspirations are.
