Airport Lugano
Einführung
Der Airport Lugano ist ein kleiner internationaler Schweizer Flughafen
im Tessin und liegt auf den Gebieten von den drei Gemeinden Agno,
Muzzano und Bioggio. Der Flughafen zählt zwar zu den kleineren
Airports, fasziniert aber mit einem der schönsten Anflüge der Welt.
Anflüge auf die 01 führen über den malerischen Luganer See, der
besonders durch die neuen Reflektionen und Schattenberechnungen
in X-Plane 10 Global einen atemberaubenden Anflug verspricht.
Die meisten Flüge in Lugano werden mit der Saab 2000 der Darwin
Airline operiert: Die Flüge nach Rom im Code-Share mit Alitalia, Ziele
im Mittelmeerraum wie Cagliari und Olbia werden als Saisondestinationen während des Sommers bedient. Der wichtigste Flug (nach Zürich)
wird im Auftrag von SWISS International Airlines als Wet-Lease
geflogen.
2010 zählte der Flughafen fast 170`000 Passagiere. Er verfügt über
eine 1350 Meter lange Start- und Landebahn.

Die Installation ist simpel. Starten Sie die .exe Datei, die Sie sich
heruntergeladen haben und folgen Sie den Instruktionen auf Ihrem
Bildschirm. Stellen Sie sicher das der FS geschlossen ist und Ihr PC vor
der Installation neu hochgefahren wurde. Stellen Sie sicher als
Administrator angemeldet zu sein! Nach der Installation kann es
hilfreich sein die Festplatte zu defragmentieren.
Das Deinstallieren des Produktes sollte niemals manuell geschehen,
sondern immer über den in der Softwareliste aufgeführten Eintrag/
Installer.
Deinstallation unter Mac:
Für die Deinstallation unter Mac, wechseln Sie bitte in das Verzeichnis
„X-Plane 10\Custom Scenery\Aerosoft - LSZA Lugano Airport\_Airport
Lugano_installation\“, führen Sie die Datei „Change Airport Lugano
Installation“ aus und wählen Sie die Option „Uninstall Product“ aus.

Wir empfehlen Ihnen zunächst niedrige Einstellungen in den XP10
Rendering Options zu testen und diese dann schrittweise zu erhöhen.
Auf unseren Testcomputern (Mac und PC) haben wir mit den folgenden,
relativ hohen Einstellungen sehr gute Ergebnisse erzielen können:
Hinweis: Damit das 3D Grass auf dem Flughafengelände richtig
dargestellt wird, muss der Schatten ausgeschaltet werden (shadow
detail -> overlay). Ab der X-Plane Version 10.10 kann der Schatten
wieder beliebig eingestellt werden.
Hinweis: Damit Sie in der Nacht auch was auf dem Boden erkennen
können, muss die Funktion „HDR rendering“ eingeschaltet sein.

AI Traffic
Zurzeit ist AI Traffic in XP10 noch sehr performancehungrig. Sie sollten
daher bei schlechter Framerate den AI Traffic auf ein Minimum
reduzieren ehe Sie die generellen Grafikeinstellungen verringern.

Q: Ist dieses AddOn kompatibel zu früheren X-Plane Versionen?
A: Nein. Eine rückwärtige Kompatibilität lässt sich nicht mit den vielen
neuen Features des X-Plane 10 vereinbaren.
Q: Ist dieses AddOn kompatibel mit anderen XP10 AddOns?
A: Es sollte keine Kompatibilitätsprobleme mit anderen AddOns
geben.
Q: Das Gras auf dem Flughafengelände wirft einen komischen
Schatten?
A: Beachten Sie hier bitte den Hinweis unter dem Punkt Grafikeinstellungen.
Q: Die Lampen leuchten aber der Boden und die Gebäude
bleiben dunkel, woran liegt das?
A: Damit der Boden und die Gebäude beleuchtet werden, muss die

Introduction
The most frequent aircraft in Lugano is the Saab 2000 operated by
Darwin Airlines offering Code-Share flights with Alitalia to destinations
like Rome, Cagliari and Olbia. The most important route though is the
flight to Zurich for Swiss International Airlines as a wet lease.
2010 saw the airport handling more than 170.000 passengers taking
off from the 1350 m long runway.

The airport Lugano is a small international Swiss airport in the canton
Tecino. Its location is between the three towns of Agno, Muzzano and
Bioggio. The fascinating part of this airport is surely the breathtaking
approach, probably one of the most beautiful approaches in the
world. Landing on 01 takes you across the picturesque Lake of Lugano
where you get the most out of the reflection and shadowing techniques in X-Plane 10 Global.

Installation and Removal
Installation is simple. Start the exe file you downloaded and follow the
instructions on your screen. Make sure X-Plane is closed and we do
advise you to reboot your system before installing. Make sure you are
logged on as Administrator on the machine! Removal should never be
done manually but only using the software removal applet you will
find the Windows Control panel.
How to remove the Scenery under Mac
For the de-installation under Mac, please go into the directory „X-Plane 10\
Custom Scenery\Aerosoft - LSZA Lugano Airport\_Airport Lugano_installation\“ and execute the file „Change Airport Lugano Installation“ and select
the option „Uninstall Product“.

Display setting
We advise you to set your rendering options to low or medium
settings first. If you experience good framerates you can increase the
settings for a better graphical experience. In our tests we came to the
conclusion that the following settings gave us a reasonable framerate
and very good visual experience with our test PCs and Macs.
Note: To prevent strange shadows form the grass, please switch of the
shadow option (shadow detail -> overlay). After the X-Plane 10.10
release, you are free to switch it on again.
Note: To be able to see illuminations on the ground make sure to
activate “HDR rendering”

AI Traffic
AI Traffic is very performance-hungry in X-Plane 10 at the moment.
You might want to limit it to a lower number if you have bad framerates before decreasing the rendering option settings.
Q: Is this add-on DX10 compatible with any previous X-Plane
version?
A: No. XP10 is different from older versions in a lot of ways. We made
sure to make use of all new XP10 features rather than make the
addon backwards compatible.
Q: Is this add-on compatible with other X-Plane 10 addons?
A: There should be no problem with any other addon
Q: The 3D grass is causing some strange shadows?
A: Please read the note under “Display Settings”
Q: The lights are shining but the ground and buildings remain
dark, why?
A: To see that the ground and buildings are illuminated, make sure
that the option “HDR rendering” is active.
