PARISH NEWS & EVENTS
Homily Summary – Baptism of the Lord
Baptism in water brings the Holy Spirit to live in us.
Jesus brought a new Baptism. Not just water but God the
Holy Spirit to live in us.
Let us all find out the date of our Baptism – and celebrate
that day as the first day the Holy Spirit came to live within
us. By remembering the Holy Spirit within us to guide us
we will be living our Baptism.
Are you a video projector expert?
We are looking at improving the projector in the Parish
Centre. If anyone in the Parish has specialist knowledge,
please contact Alastair on 714809
VOCATIONS MATTER
18 January: Second Sunday in Ordinary Time "There is the Lamb of
God". John the Baptist understands what we, too, instinctively know: that
the Jesus is the Messiah, the Lamb of God come to take our sins upon
himself and grant us freedom and eternal life. The Jesus of Nazareth
about whom John speaks is the same Jesus whom we frequently receive in
Holy Communion. This Jesus is the one who unties the knots of our
complex and confused lives and leads us to discover the wonder for which
we are created.
THE ARUNDEL AND BRIGHTON DIOCESAN TRUST IS A REGISTERED CHARITY NO. 252878
