LEARNING AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
The Rheumatology Update course is designed to update overall knowledge and
improve clinical competence-based gaps in rheumatology with information
derived from abstracts presented at the national rheumatology meetings and
publications in peer-reviewed journals in rheumatology annually. The goal of
this course is to make this information available through lectures and panel
discussions.
This live activity is designed for rheumatologists, primary care physicians, and all
allied health care professionals involved in the care of patients with rheumatic
diseases. The intended result of this activity is to enhance knowledge and
competence in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases. At the
conclusion of this activity attendees should be able to:
•Apply current rheumatology guidelines in clinical practice.
•Evaluate and interpret up-to-date literature relevant to clinical practice in
rheumatology.
•Explain recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic
diseases.
