MATHBUSTERS!
The LMMS Mathbusters are mathletes who meet on a weekly
basis to solve a variety of problems from nonstandard math
problems to classic logic puzzles to 3D block puzzles and
everything in between. We exercise our brains just for the fun
of it and to prepare for a variety of math competitions. Last
year, in addition to competing very successfully in the South
Forsyth High Math Olympiad and MATHCOUNTS
competitions, we hosted and competed in the first annual
Forsyth County Pi Fight (a 4th-6th grade math competition).
We hope to add more competitions this year. Mathbusters is
open to all students in 6-8 grade. Listen for an announcement
during the first week of school for the time and place of our
first meeting. Be there or be pi r squared!

Christian Athletes is the largest Christian sports organization
in America as it was started in 1954. FCA focuses on serving
local communities by equipping, empowering, and encouraging
people to make a difference for Christ. Throughout the school
year, FCA members have the opportunity to attend local and
national camps, serve our athletic teams here at LMMS and
generally be involved in the extra-curricular life of LMMS.
FCA is open to all students that express an interest in
fellowship and fun in a positive atmosphere. Although FCA is
sports oriented, students do not have to be an athlete to be
involved. More information can be found at www.fca.org.
