The annual Healing Hearts fundraiser for Pennock Center for Counseling will be at Eagle View Adult Center, 1150 Prairie Center Parkway, from 6:30-8 p.m. Pennock Center is a nonprofit organization that provides no-cost and low-cost mental health services to those in need. He was born in Greeley to Jose Luis and Teresa (Martinez) Barrutia. He attended schools in Fort Lupton and Hudson and later married Tracy Ticono in 2012. Samual worked for his father in the construction industry and at Denver Plastics in Hudson, but most recently he was a dockworker at Sports Authority in its distribution center. Survivors include his wife, Tracy; parents, Jose Luis and Teresa Barrutia, of Brighton; and brothers Edward and Jose Andres Barrutia, of Brighton. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Sunday.
