PBS at Fitzwilliam - Fitzwilliam College
PBS at Fitzwilliam
The Psychological and Behavioural Sciences Tripos at Cambridge gives you
the opportunity to study cognitive, social, developmental and biological
psychology within the broader context of the behavioural sciences.
The course covers cognitive psychology, psychopathology, language, brain
mechanisms, gender, family relationships and influences, personality, group social
behaviour and more. Unlike other routes into Psychological Science, PBS exposes
students to the broad range of areas comprising this field with the opportunity to
specialise in the second and third years. Research projects and a dissertation also
enable you to study in greater depth the topics that interest you most.
“College fellows are always on hand to provide advice and support, and students know that they
can email them, or drop into their office at any time. Other students also provide crucial support
whenever you need help with an essay, a specific book, or just a fresh perspective on a topic. If
you’re up for the challenge of studying a stimulating and relevant course such as this, then Fitz is
definitely the place to do it. ”
Sophie, 3rd year.
