It was formerly known as Polytechnic Institute, Narsingarh and was established in 1958. In the year 2007, Government of Tripura has upgraded it to a degree level technical Institute where both bachelor and diploma program of engineering and technology are being presently offered. Diploma module comprises of eight branches, namely Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineerin Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science & Technology, Automobile Engineering, Food Processing Technology and Architectural Assistantship. In the degree program the Institute offers B. E. in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering branches. Tripura Institute of Technology is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Tripura University, Surjymaninagar, Tripura (W). TRIPURA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY Announces TEQIP Sponsored workshop TEQIP-II on “EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION IMPLEMENT OF RESEARCH PROPOSALS, SIMULATIONS AND REPO REPORTS” (22nd - 24th January, 2015) OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKSHOP To familiarize the participants with the dimensions and methods of research. To orient the participants to make an informed choice from the large number of alternative methods and experimental designs available. To enable the participants to present a good research proposal. To familiarize the participants with the nature of research and scientific writing. To empower the participants with the knowledge and skills they need to undertake a research project, to present a conference paper and to write a scientific article. It lies on the bank of river Haora and is about 2 km away from international border with Bangladesh. The main attractions in Agartala are Ujjayanta Palace, State Museum, Heritage Park, Zoo, Tribal Museum, Sukanta Academy, Laxminarayan Temple, Jagannath Temple, Fourteen Goddess Temple etc. The famous Tripureswari Kali Temple is situated in Udaipur city and is about 60 km away from the capital city. The weather condition of Agartala city is moderate with temperature between 21oC to 36oC during summer season and between 8oC to 25oC in winter. RESOURCE PERSONS Eminent persons from the academic institutions, research organizations and from the industries will be invited to deliver sessions on Research Methodology, Research Proposal Writing, Technical Paper Writing etc. and to interact with the participants. TARGET AUDIENCE The workshop is targeted towards academicians, scientists, researchers, faculty members, and students interested in field of Research & Development to enhance their research skills. REGISTRATION, TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE, BOARDING AND LODGING There is no registration fee for the course. Applications need to be sent in the given format enclosed herewith. No TA will be provided to participants. Registration Kit and working lunch will be provided during workshop.
