MBEX Elects New Directors & Officers for 2015
Chuck Anderson of Northern Star Metal Buildings LLC, was introduced as President of the Minnesota Builders Exchange at
the Annual Meeting of the Minnesota Builders Exchange on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Anderson succeeds Tony
Grazzini, WTG Terrazzo & Tile Inc. Anderson has served on the MBEX Board of Directors and has served as Treasurer and
Vice President prior to his election to President.
Russ Reger of Veit Companies was elected 2015 MBEX Vice President, Jake Bauer, Carciofini Co, was elected 2015 MBEX
Treasurer and Tom Getzke, MBEX, elected Secretary.
Through balloting of the membership, elected to new three-year terms as Directors were Patrick Sims, Graham Construction
Services Inc, and Nick Frattalone, Frattalone Co.
New Plans Listing
Things just got easier with the new plans listing format on mbex.org! As of this week, all new projects posted will have a
new list format of drawing sheets. The new listing of plans will break down sheet listings within the project by drawing
type. For example, all Electrical drawing sheets will be incorporated into “Section: ELECTRICAL,” Architectural drawings
incorporated into “Section: ARCHITECTURAL” and so on. New addenda drawings will also have their own section for quick
access/viewing. Note: new addenda drawings listed for projects made active before this week can be found within the
Addenda section for each project.

construction costs by collecting and studying information related to the industry. Direct and supervise activities of each
project for quantity and accuracy of work. This includes performing estimates, training, scheduling, establishing goals and

Volunteer of the Year
Tim Hughes, Alliance Bank, was named Volunteer of the Year at the MBEX Annual Meeting on Wednesday, January 14,
2015. Tim has volunteered with the Builders Exchange for three decades. He has served on many committees, participated
in social events and has generously sponsored numerous events, publications and programs. Congratulations, Tim!
Distinguished Member of the Year
Clem Commers of St. Paul Linoleum and Carpet Co, was honored as the recipient of the 2014 Distinguished Member of
the Year at the MBEX Annual Meeting on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Clem was honored for his many years of service to
the Builders Exchange, the building industry and the community. He has dedicated his entire 50-year construction career
to the commercial and residential flooring industry. Clem has always been an ambassador and supporter of the mission of
the Builders Exchange. He served on the Board of Directors of the Builders Exchange, having participated in countless
social events, golf tournaments and committee activities. The Minnesota Builders Exchange honors Clem Commers, St.
Paul Linoleum and Carpet Co Inc, for his countless contributions to the construction industry, the flooring industry, the Twin
Cities community and the Builders Exchange. May his leadership and volunteer spirit serve as an inspiration to all of us.
