PATENTED CARTRIDGE SYSTEM
HDE’S replaceable ceramic cartridge allows for easy replacement
of the heating element. Typical cartridge
cartrid life is an average
of 1,500 hours and can be changed in less than 45 minutes.
This unique design prevents the heat from transferring to
heater pplenum. This extends the life oof the heater.

The HDE JMH 400 T uses 100% infrared heat to safely preheat the cold joint just prior to placing of the hot lane. At standard operating pressure of
35 PSI, the heater has an input of 400,000 BTU, capable of raising the surface temperature of the joint to a satisfactory range of 100°C (212°F) to
120°C (250°F).Paving speeds of up to 35’ per minute can be achieved under ideal conditions.
Additional heaters can be attached to the rear of the trailer to achieve additional heat in colder conditions or when the paver speed is increased. A
three-heater extension will boost the BTUs by 300,000, increasing the maximum input to 825,000 BTU at 50psi .
When the distance between the paver and the joint heater allows for premature cooling of the surface of the joint, a paver attached booster heater
can be added to the paver to reheat the surface, which has cooled. One 4’ HDE 100 asphalt heater is attached to the side of the paver and operates
on vapour propane which mounts on the top of the heater or onto the paver
