The President’s Message
Happy New Year DFW RIMS!
I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday season reminiscing about the joys of your past holiday
memories, while creating exciting new memories that will be cherished for many years to come.
I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve this great DFW RIMS Community. I realize to
whom much is given, much is required. Therefore, I am very excited to be given this opportunity to run
with and build upon the vision that has been previously established by such awesome men and women
that have served before me.
As I reminisce over the past 14 years that I have been a member of the DFW RIMS Chapter, I recall many
proud moments during our National Conference Awards Ceremonies that referenced our chapter’s
commitment to advancing our profession via education and networking. Today, I can see the faces of many
students who were given instruction, encouragement, internships and financial support via grants and
scholarships because of the generosity of our great Chapter.
We really have an outstanding chapter that is committed to upholding high ethical standards and possesses
a strong commitment to improving ourselves, our companies, and communities at large.
As we set course in 2015 to continue to build upon our rich history, I encourage those of you who are
members of this great family, but may not be familiar with our heartbeat, to come alongside of our active
volunteers to assist us in touching the lives and encouraging the next generation of risk and insurance
management professionals. This is truly an opportunity for you to build new relationships and help create a
legacy that will be with you for many years to come.
To make this step a little easier for you, I would like to invite you to attend the DFW RIMS monthly luncheon on January 28th at the Gleneagles Country Club in Plano, TX. This will allow you to “take a peek behind
the curtain”, meet your 2015 DFW RIMS Board Members, and hear about the exciting plans that are in
progress for this year.

Monthly Meetings
Prestonwood Country Club is undergoing extensive remodeling.
Our January Luncheon will be at Gleneagles, which, is only a few short miles from
Prestonwood.
We will be back at Prestonwood for our monthly meeting, beginning
February 25th, 2015.
We ask for your patience and continued support of DFW RIMS as
our primary meeting space is renovated.
