Male:
38, 41, 45, 48, 51, 54, 57, 60, 63, 66, 70, 74, 78, 84, 90, 110, 110+, Max weight 130 kg
Female:
40 (Min 34), 43, 47, 51, 54, 57, 60, 64, 69, 75, 90, 90+, Max weight 110 kg
Format:
Wrestlers will be put into a double knock out bracket according to exact weight as stated
by BCSS weight classes. There will be an allowance of two hundred grams over for each
weight class. In a weight class with three competitors or less, the format will be round
robin.
2-3 minute running time rounds
Eligibility:
Grades 8 through 12, all wrestlers must be under 19 years of age as of December 31 of
the current school year. All wrestlers must be currently enrolled in school, and must
wrestle for their school team.
SCHOOL & ATHLETE ELIGIBILITY
All wrestlers MUST have their school register:
1) as a Member school of FVSSAA $50
2) the School has payed the FVSSAA Wrestling Commission fee $35
3) the school is a BCSS member school
4) the school has a BCSS registered team: boys team and or girls team
5) the wrestlers competing are Registered on School BCSS Team
6) the wrestlers participating also must be paid & registered members of the
BC Wrestling Association
Cost:
$25/ athlete- Payable onsite at registration confirmation. Please make cheques payable to
Salmon Arm Secondary.
Awards:
Top three wrestlers in each weight class will receive a medal. The top six in each division
will earn points for their team. Team plaques will be awarded to the top male and female
teams.
Event Registration:
Please register for the tournament on the BCWA website.
All entries must go through B.C. Wrestling on-line registration this year as per the
WOF and Alberni. Once your entries have been completed, they must be forwarded
to Claire Covington by Wed. Feb. 11th by 4 pm. Claire Covington (Draw Master) at
