COMPONENTS FOR HD
FIBRE INSTALLATIONS
Each and every HD fibre infrastructure has different
requirements and budgets, but above all requires
ease of installation. For this reason LEMO UK has
prepared a range of components and kits to enable
customers to select those which most closely meet
their needs.
The use of modern splicing equipment provides a
fast and reliable means of installing HD fibre links in
fixed locations. There are many means of achieving a
suitable termination of panel mount connectors in
installations, from a simple termination to a fully
replaceable junction. Alternatively, if the conditions
permit, complete cable assemblies can be prepared
in the factory environment and installed using the
LEMO cable puller.
This leaflet gives an indication of the scope of supply
- other bespoke customer requirements can be
accommodated as required.
COMPONENTS FOR HD FIBRE INSTALLATIONS
Hardwired single junction kit
Simple hardwired single junction kit typically for wallbox
application where there is very little space.
Part number for complete kit: UKE.0528.FXW.3K.01
Customer supplies wall panel and installed cable. It is best to
ensure approximately 2m of the spare cable at the wallbox for
the purposes of termination. Patchcord is cut in half and spliced
directly to the installed cable. Electrical conductors of the
installed cable are terminated directly to the LEMO connector.

Boxed junctions for wallbox applications
Boxed junction typically for wallbox application where space is
more readily available, suitable for up to 5 installed HD cables.
Supplied with cable fixing points and fibre connectors with tails
for splicing. Allows for easy replacement of panel connectors or
fibre tails. Select from above the required number of panel
connectors with tails to complete the kit.

Integrated panel with built in splice tray and connector junctions
for use where space is limited, either at a wallbox or a patching
unit. Up to 3 can be mounted side-by-side to fit in 3U rack
dimensions. External connectors can be either panel plugs, for
link to cameras, or panel sockets for links to CCU’s or OB van.
Allows for easy replacement of external connectors or the fibre
contacts if damaged in use.

Cable puller
Factory terminated LEMO cables assemblies ready for installation
consist of stainless steel LEMO connectors mounted to Furukawa
cable and are fully tested to the highest standards to ensure reliable
connectivity and dependable operation in the field.
With an outside diameter of only 17.5mm the LEMO cable puller,
temporarily replaces the outer shell of the connector. This pullthrough tool also ensures that the pulling force is applied directly to
the central strength member of the cable, thereby protecting the

Patch cords
Fibre patchcords provide any installer with the means to flexibly
achieve a high quality installation of panel - or bulkhead-mounted
connectors to installed cables/equipment. A range of LEMO
patchcords is available as shown with a number of possible
connections to other industry standard connectors. Alternatively
the LEMO F2 to LEMO F2 patchcord can be cut in half for use in
fibre splicing. The LEMO F2 contacts in the part numbers shown
here all come with an alignment sleeve enabling use with both
plugs or sockets (where male contacts are required the alignment
sleeve can be retained as a spare).
