FAMILIA CRISTIANA,
CULLA DI VOCAZIONI
purissima, perché mai si rinchiuda e mai si
fermi nella sua passione per instaurare il Regno.
Stella della nuova evangelizzazione, aiutaci a
risplendere nella testimonianza della comunione,
del servizio, della fede ardente e generosa, della
giustizia e dell’amore verso i poveri, perché la
gioia del Vangelo giunga sino ai confini della
terra e nessuna periferia sia priva della sua luce.
Madre del Vangelo vivente, sorgente di gioia per
i piccoli, prega per noi. Amen. Alleluia.
In quest’anno del sinodo sulla famiglia,
ringraziamo tutti i padri, le madri, le nonne e le
nonni che, a titolo di « Chiesa domestica »
diventano casa per numerosi vocazioni
attraverso le loro testimonianze di amore, di
rispetto, le loro preghiere et la loro generosità.
« la Chiesa è madre e predica al popolo come
una madre che parla a suo figlio, sapendo che il
figlio ha fiducia che tutto quanto gli viene
insegnato sarà per il suo bene perché sa di
essere amato. Inoltre, la buona madre sa
riconoscere tutto ciò che Dio ha seminato in suo
figlio, ascolta le sue preoccupazioni e apprende
da lui. Lo spirito d’amore che regna in una
famiglia guida tanto la madre come il figlio nei
loro dialoghi, dove si insegna e si apprende, si
corregge e si apprezzano le cose buone « (La
gioia del Vangelo, Evangelii Gaudium, no 139.

Vergine e Madre Maria, tu che, mossa dallo
Spirito, hai accolto il Verbo della vita
nella profondità della tua umile fede, totalmente
donata all’Eterno, aiutaci a dire il nostro “sì”
nell’urgenza, più imperiosa che mai, di far
risuonare la Buona Notizia di Gesù.
Tu, ricolma della presenza di Cristo, hai portato
la gioia a Giovanni il Battista, facendolo esultare
nel seno di sua madre. Tu, trasalendo di giubilo,
hai cantato le meraviglie del Signore. Tu, che
rimanesti ferma davanti alla Croce con una fede
incrollabile, e ricevesti la gioiosa consolazione
della risurrezione, hai radunato i discepoli
nell’attesa dello Spirito perché nascesse la
Chiesa evangelizzatrice.
Ottienici ora un nuovo ardore di risorti per
portare a tutti il Vangelo della vita che vince la
morte. Dacci la santa audacia di cercare nuove
strade perché giunga a tutti il dono della
bellezza che non si spegne.
Tu, Vergine dell’ascolto e della contemplazione,
madre dell’amore, sposa delle nozze eterne,
intercedi per la Chiesa, della quale sei l’icona

Festa di San Giovanni Bosco
Ormai è diventata una tradizione che suscita tanto
entusiasmo. Sabato il 31 gennaio alle 5:00pm. Verrà
celebrata la Santa messa solenne in onore del Santo in
italiano e inglese. Passeremo poi la serata al Buffet le
Chateaubriand con la cena, musica, danze e tanta allegria.
I biglietti saranno in vendita dal 12 Gennaio presso l’ufficio.
$25.00 per persona; i ragazzi da 2 a 5 anni $10.00;
l’entrata e gratuita per i bambini sotto i 2 anni.

trough their testimony of love, respect, prayers and
generosity.

benefit, for children know that they are loved. Moreover, a
good mother can recognize everything that God is bringing
about in her children, she listens to their concerns and

guides both mother and child in their conversations; therein
they teach and learn, experience correction and grow in

The diocesan collection for "L’Oeuvre des
Vocations" will be made next week. Thank-you
for your support and prayers.
Standing at the foot of the cross with unyielding faith, you
received the joyful comfort of the resurrection, and joined
the disciples in awaiting the Spirit so that the evangelizing
Church might be born.
Clarifying the Catholic Church's Teaching on
Human Sexuality
Obtain for us now a new ardour born of the resurrection,
that we may bring to all the Gospel of life which triumphs
over death. Give us a holy courage to seek new paths,
that the gift of unfading beauty may reach every man and
woman.
This presentation/exchange will be exploring
and clarifying the Catholic teaching on the
subject and includes St. John Paul II's writings
from "The Theology of the Body". The
presentation will be given by Marie Grant
Bourque, and organized by the Catholic Parents
Association/English Section of APCQ. This
workshop will be sure to inspire parents, in order
to guide us in talking about the topic to our
children with assurance and knowledge. Join us
at: Mont Carmel Church, 7645 rue du Mans,
St. Leonard, H1S 2A1 (in parish hall through

side door) on Tuesday January, 27 at 7pm.

of the eternal wedding feast, pray for the Church, whose
pure icon you are, that she may never be closed in on
herself or lose her passion for establishing God’s kingdom.
Star of the new evangelization, help us to bear radiant
witness to communion, service, ardent and generous faith,
justice and love of the poor, that the joy of the Gospel
may reach to the ends of the earth, illuminating even the
fringes of our world.
Mother of the living Gospel, wellspring of happiness for

Viva Don Bosco! The Salesian Family all over the
world celebrates the Feast of St. John Bosco on
January 31st. We are glad to invite you all to our
Don Bosco Parish Feast on Saturday, January
31st, 2015. The feast begins with a Holy Mass at
5:00P.M. followed by our traditional Pasta Dinner
Dance being held at Buffet Le Chauteaubriand.
Tickets will be on sale at the Main Office as of
January 12th, 2015. $25.00/person - $10/children
2 to 5 yrs old – under 2 years old free.

Sunday offering envelopes
The boxes of envelopes for the Sunday offering are
available at the Office. For those who are not
familiar with this system, these personalized
envelopes allow us to produce an income tax receipt
at the end of the year. Using the system allows you
to foresee the special collections in the Calendar and
to give a more substantial offering without cost,
since you recuperate forty percent of your donation
by using this income tax receipt.

Diocesan Mass for Vocation with Mgr
Lépine at GSM
On Friday, January 30th at 19h30, there will be a
vocational Mass presided by His Excellency, Msgr
Christian Lépine at the Chapel of the Grand Seminary
of Montreal. This is an opportunity to unite in prayer
with others asking God to bless our community with
vocations to priesthood. The Mass will be followed by
tours of the Seminary, including a visit to the Crypt in
the basement. Please advise the office if you are
interested in attending so that transportation may be
considered.
Worldwide Marriage Encounter invites all
married couples to celebrate "World
Marriage Day" which honours married
couples as heads of the family, the basic unit
of society, and salutes the beauty of their
faithfulness, sacrifice and joy in daily
married life. A bilingual mass will be
presided by Archbishop Christian Lépine.
Join us for Mass on Saturday, February
14th, 5pm at Mary, Queen of the World
Cathedral (1085 de la Cathédrale St.,
Montreal) followed by a reception at La
Plaza Hotel (420 Sherbrooke St. West,
Montreal). The evening will include a sitdown meal and wine. Cost is $150 per
couple.
