PASTORAL CARE Please don’t forget to inform us if you are going to be
hospitalized so one of our priests can visit. Provide us with your name,
hospital, room number, phone number and, when possible, how long you
will be hospitalized. If you are unable to attend Mass, due to poor health,
illness or advanced age, please call so a Eucharistic Minister can bring
Communion to you. Anointing of the Sick may be requested because of
scheduled surgery or treatment for a life-threatening illness. Call us prior
to your surgery or treatment. Anointing of the Sick at Mass may be celebrated before you go into the hospital. Directly inform one of our priests or
call one of our Pastoral Administrators.

Eccoci, Signore, davanti a te.
Col fiato grosso, dopo aver tanto camminato.
Ma se ci sentiamo sfiniti, non è perché abbiamo percorso un lungo tragitto, o abbiamo coperto chi sa quali
interminabili rettilinei.
È perché, purtroppo, molti passi,
li abbiamo consumati sulle viottole nostre, e non sulle
tue:seguendo i tracciati involuti della nostra caparbietà
faccendiera,e non le indicazioni della tua Parola;
confidando sulla riuscita delle nostre estenuanti
manovre, e non sui moduli semplici dell'abbandono
fiducioso in te.
Forse mai, come in questo crepuscolo dell'anno,
sentiamo nostre le parole di Pietro:
"Abbiamo faticato tutta la notte,
e non abbiamo preso nulla".
Ad ogni modo, vogliamo ringraziarti ugualmente.
Perché, facendoci contemplare la povertà del raccolto,
ci aiuti a capire che senza di te,
non possiamo far nulla. Ci agitiamo soltanto.
Ma ci sono altri motivi, Signore, che, al termine
dell'anno, esigono il nostro rendimento di grazie.
Ti ringraziamo, Signore,
perché ci conservi nel tuo amore.
Perché continui ad avere fiducia in noi.

IL VERO AMICO
Il vero amico è come un bel libro: più lo leggi e più ti
accorgi che il contenuto è più importante della
copertina.
Lo scorso giovedi’ 1° gennaio 2015, il Santo Padre
Papa Francesco ha tenuto la 48° annuale giornata
mondiale della pace con il tema “Non Piu’ Schiavi,
Ma Fratelli”. Dopo questa annuale giornata Papa
Francesco chiede a tutti di cercare essere portatori di
pace.
MARTEDI’, 6 GENNAIO – EPIFANIA DEL SIGNORE
–Una stella ha guidato i Magi fino a Betlehemme.
E’ nato il Re dei Giudei. BENEDITE LA VOSTRA
CASA NEL GIORNO DELL’EPIFANIA - Il Vangelo ci
dice che i Magi incontrarono Gesu’ appena entrati in
casa. La porta della nostra casa e’ la nostra sacra
entrata. Vi incoraggiamo a benedire tutti quelli che
entrano e escono dalla vostra casa scrivendo sulla
porta 20+G+M+B+15. La tradizione ci dice che le
lettere sono le iniziali dei Magi: Gaspare, Melchiorre e
Baldassare. Questo puo’ anche significare “Christus
mansionen benedicat” cioe’ che Cristo benedice
questa casa. Gennaio e’ il primo mese dell’anno,
ossia la porta d’entrata al nuovo anno. Benedite la
vostra porta con acqua benedetta mentre recitate una
preghiera.
SIGNORE, SENTIAMO CHE TU CI STAI DICENDO:
“BUON ANNO!” GRAZIE, SIGNORE! E’ QUESTO
L’UNICO AUGURIO DI CUI ABBIAMO VERAMENTE
BISOGNO, NON SOLO PERCHÉ SINCERO, MA
PERCHÉ ONNIPOTENTE.

bambini per le nostre celebrazioni – Grazie.

Signore, come i Magi trovarono e adorarono Gesu’, la

DOMINGO DE LA EPIFANIA DEL SEÑOR
Tomado de la Palabra entre nosotros:
En esta Fiesta de la Epifanía del Señor celebramos la revelación del hijo
de Dios a los gentiles, los no judíos . A partir de ese
momento , los
privilegios que estaban reservados para el pueblo escogido quedaron a
disposición de toda la humanidad. Esa Estrella , ordenada por Dios , sirvió para que la luz de Cristo brillara para todo el mundo.
Los reyes sabios vieron el lucero desde paises lejanos y se sintieron tan conmovidos que de
inmediato emprendieron el viaje, al final del cual encontraron la manifestación de Dios en un
niño recién nacido , y se sintieron movidos,no solo a ofrecerle regalos de gran valor , sino a
adorarlo de inmediato. Así comenzó una maravillosa procesión de gente venida desde todas
las latitudes hasta el trono de Dios. Todass las naciones podían llegar a la luz de un Rey que
gobierna con amor y justicia. Esta es la intensidad con la cual Dios quiere que todos vengan a
conocerlo ; de hecho , no esperó a que se propagara la noticia , mas bien puso una señal en
el cielo que captó la atención de unos sabios de Paises remotos. Así actua Dios para congregar a su pueblo. Hoy mismo nos lleva a todos a refugiarnos en su amor y lo hace de la mejor
manera . Al venir hoy a la Santa Misa nosotros tambien recibir la invitación a salir de nuestro
país lejano de nuestra alma para entrar al Reino Celestial de Cristo Jesús ; cuando aprovechamos la oportunidad de amar y adorar al Señor , el Corazón se nos llena de amor y entusiasmo. Dios te ha llamado a ti tambien desde la eternidad para tener parte en su vida ; no dejes de abrirle tu Corazón y aceptar su invitación.

We encourage you to talk about the readings & reflection question in the car on the way home from Mass, at
dinner on Sunday, or at parish meetings. Faith sharing
opens the door for us to meet, know & walk with Christ
in our everyday lives.

Rosary Society
The Rosarians welcome all women of the Parish. The Society
is dedicated to the Blessed Mother, the growth of the love of
God through Mary. We honor the Blessed Mother by the constant and reverent praying of the rosary in our daily life.
We are involved in all Parish activities, liturgical and social –
and keep informed about civic community activities.
Spiritual activities include an Annual Retreat, Annual Communion Breakfast and Baby Shower for Unwed Mothers. The Society raises money to help our Church continue outreach efforts.
The fundraisers include: Christmas Fair, Basket Night, Chinese
Auction.
We attend the 10:00am Mass on the Third Sunday of the
month (except July & August) followed by a meeting & light
breakfast in the School.

Holy Name Society
New members are welcome to help with our community
service work. The Society is a spiritual organization, a fraternity of the Catholic Church, spreading devotion to the
Name of Jesus. Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow!
The present Holy Name Society members dedicate themselves to corporal works in helping our Parish Organizations
and School, with various fundraising. The Holy Name meets
every second Sunday of each month (after the 10 a.m.
Mass), except for July & August.
Men of all ages are welcome, especially the fathers of children attending St. A’s School and Catholic War Veterans

Meets every Tuesday evening at 8:00 p.m. in the

Lay Carmelites meet on the second Saturday of the month.

in a religious community, but are men and women, married

Gamblers Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women
who share their experience, strength and hope with each
other that they may solve their common problem and help
others to recover from a gambling problem. Meeting every
Friday night at 7:30p.m. in the Nazareth Institute.
Overeaters Anonymous members talk about their struggles
with compulsive eating. Meeting every Wednesday night
at 8:00p.m. in the Nazareth Institute.
Is your life effected by someone who is drinking? To help
them, you must first help yourself. Al-Anon helps families
and friends of alcoholics recover from the effects of living
with the problem drinking of a relative or friend.
Our Al-Anon Group meets in the Nazareth Institute every
Friday 8-9:30p.m. & Saturday 7:30-9:30p.m.

In order for designated Parish Ministries & Organizations to reserve one of our rooms at St. A’s, we require you to fill out our Parish Calendar & Room Request Form. The form is available in the rectory or can be downloaded from our website. We even
have an E-form so you complete this form without writing. Just e-mail it back to us, or print it out and drop it off. All Requests
must be made using our form. E-mail completed form to AnnaMarie Scuteri at [email protected]. This is the ONLY
way to reserve a room here at St. A's. The group listed on the parish calendar is the group that has the right to use that
space. If you are not a designated ministry of our parish, permission must be granted from our Pastor, Msgr. Cassato, a rental
fee is paid, and a lease agreement completed in order to use space.
Sunday Bulletin Deadlines The Sunday Bulletin must be e-mailed to our printer by 10a.m. Monday. All announcements must be
submitted in WRITTEN form only (handwritten, typed, computer, fax, e-mailed, etc) by 3p.m. Friday. Announcements received
after the deadline will be published the following week. No one on the parish staff will assume the responsibility for your ministry’s
articles. Include your bulletin articles in your advance planning for your event. All Flyers need to be approved by a staff member
and submitted by Email only to [email protected].
Our Printer Requires all Black or Grayscale Print, Clip Art & Graphics. If you submit color graphics, the printer will NOT print
your flyer. Please email announcements to [email protected] no other email addresses!
