COOKING FOR MEN If you are fed up with eating takeaways and ready cooked meals and would like to learn to cook simple quality meals yourself then sign up for Man and his Pan. This will be run on Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. to about 1.00 p.m. We will start on 19th February 2015. You will learn how to cook and will enjoy the meal at the end of the session. Gerry O'Donnell FRIDAY 6 FEBRUARY 2015 is SHARING DAY with FAMILIES IN FARNHAM WHO NEED OUR HELP SAVE a little expenditure on luxury or convenience SAVE a little of the Earth’s resources SAVE a little money and SHARE IT with families helped by HOME-START in WAVERLEY HOME-START in WAVERLEY (part of the national Home-Start organisation) offers practical help as well as much-needed support and friendship to families of all kinds who are suffering hardship and stress. Its fully trained volunteers support many local families but there are still more on their waiting list. It needs funds to maintain and expand its valuable service. Your savings and contributions will be collected after each Mass next weekend. STEPS TO SIMPLER LIVING FOR JUSTICE & PEACE The Arundel & Brighton Diocesan Trust is a Registered Charity Appeal for Tomosynthesis machine for breast unit at Royal Surrey County Hospital for early detection of cancer. We are having a rd stall at the RSCH on Tuesday 3 February from 10am. Selling handbags, accessories, jewellery and any mistake buys new/nearly new clothes. Items can be taken to fund raising office at the RSCH (they are continually fund raising and grateful of any donations i.e. books/toys/bric-a-brac and offers of help) or phone chest clinic secretaries on 01483 571122 ext 4572 or ext 6505. Jesus is saying I am God and I am with you, I am close at hand beside you right now. Jesus says ‘Repent’. Repent means change your mind about God is distant. God is by your side, even within you if you believe in me. This is the Good News that Jesus brings to us. This is a new initiative to support and to enthuse us to share our faith in Christ with other people. This Proclaim ’15 is inspired by Pope Francis letter to the Church called ‘The Joy of the Gospel’ (Evangelii Gaudium) There are three sessions for small groups. Session 1: Meeting Jesus: The only one who can save me. Session 2: Learning to be a Missionary Disciple: Sitting at the feet of Jesus. Session 3: Jesus is Alive: Go and tell my brothers and sisters. st VOCATIONS MATTER 1 February Jesus teaches with authority. He touches hearts and changes lives. An encounter with him can bring renewal and conversion. In exploring his dream for us, we seek to offer him everything that we are and everything we have. His words can really speak to our hearts and create exciting new beginnings. May he give us the courage and the graces we need to hold nothing back ...
