Guidance Information

Juniors and Seniors: Are you considering a career in psychology, psychiatry or counseling? The Un. of Nebraska
Medical Center is hosting a High School Ambassador Conference in Kearney on April 10th (starts at 7PM) & 11th (ends at
2PM.) Find out more information at http://unmc.edu/bhecn/. Mrs. K can get you an application but act quickly. Only 60
students from across the state can attend! The conference is free and all-inclusive but you have to get yourself there
and back again.

College–Bound Seniors: Pay careful attention to the mail and emails that you get from any college you are considering.
If the college is waiting upon official ACT scores, you need to login at actstudent.org and get them sent. There will
typically be an enrollment deposit but that one can often wait. HOUSING deposits are important if you have your heart
set on a certain dorm. Some colleges do not have enough housing (UNO is one of these!) so complete your housing
applications and pay a deposit to any school that is one of your top contenders. Hopefully you can get your deposit back
once you decide on which college you will attend.

You have until May 1st typically to accept any scholarship offers and remember that the sooner you get your
FAFSA submitted the sooner you will get your award letters from each college you send your Student Aid Report
(SAR) to!
Senior Composite Pictures may be turned in to the office. Every effort should be made to turn in a vertical picture.
Please turn in pictures by Friday, February 27.
