Please join us on Monday, February 9th from 11:3012:30 at the hall for an information session about our upcoming tours of the re-sale homes. We would like to invite any one that is interested in hearing about our tours this year that will be starting in the Spring. We encourage those that have homes listed with us already, or anyone that is thinking of listing their homes in the future to be sure to join us for an insight into the tours and about upcoming informative seminars. These sessions are open to anyone living in our community that is interested in learning some tips on how to sell your home, and how we plan to do our best to help you - so please come and enjoy a coffee and doughnut with us as we discuss...... UP THE CREEK AND DOWN THE CREEK for 2015. Valentines Dance February 14th Dance to the songs of Rob Delgaty singing Elvis, Neil Diamond and others. BYOB and snacks. Tickets on sale February 2, 4, 6, 9, 11, and 13 at the hall 8:45 to 10 am. Tickets are $10.00, and the dance is from 8 pm to 12 am. Hope to see you there, everyone welcome. Bob & Doreen 6333 Up the Creek - February 06 Mind & Memory Power (Free Wellness Information Workshop) Page 2 Travel Slide Presentation JUST A REMINDER Willoughby Manor hosts FREE Wellness Information Workshops on a variety of health related topics. On February 20 at 9:00 am in the Robin Rm (Recreation Centre BC), Eleanor Stasiw will be presenting on Mind & Memory Power. The goals of the workshop are: a) the secrets to better memory b) how to improve your brain health through diet and c) strategies for exercising your brain with “Mind Boggling”. There will be a poster with sign-up sheet placed in the rec. centre for you to sign up if you are planning to attend. This sign-up helps us to plan for the event such as room set-up and handouts etc. Everyone is welcome to attend and it is free! Donna Dunn (6524) Men’s Club Meeting There will be a meeting of the Men’s Club on Saturday, February 7th at 9 am in the Robin Room. Super Bowl Party The Super Bowl Party was well attended and it appeared that all had a good time. The hotdogs were tasty and all the shared food was excellent. Thanks to all those who turned out. A special thanks to the ladies who helped in the kitchen: Bonnie Backshall, Linda Holmes, Arlene Rivers and Sharron Rode. Also thanks to those who helped with the clean up and return of the hall to normal. The game was an exciting one and the big screen made half time awesome. Congratulations to the pool winners and Don Urquhart who one the 50/50 draw. This Saturday FEBRUARY 7 at 2:00 PM a TRAVEL SLIDE PRESENTATION is being offered by Maxima Tours, in the BLUE HERON ROOM for our residents. The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board in the hall or you may call Wayne or Shirley Moote at 382-6475 to sign up or for further information. Hope to see you there. Wayne and Shirley Three Mile Walk Due to the Men’s Club Meeting on Saturday, February 7th, the Three Mile Walk will begin at 10:00 am instead of 9:30. I thank you for your cooperation and patience on this matter. Dave Backshall Weekly Drawing Group Be a part of a weekly drawing group every Tuesday from 9:30 to 11 am in the Robin room starting February 10th. Drawing tools such as pencils, regular and coloured, pens, charcoal, pastel and water colour supplied. Initially also some paper. Some instruction will be offered.
