The Pastoral Unit is presenting an additional or optional way to enhance and enrich your Lenten
commitment and experience. “Lenten Walk with the Lord” invites you to do one (1) simple act
of kindness for each of the 40 days of Lent. Attached to the bulletin is a calendar which will help
you keep track of your kindness along with some simple instructions to help guide you. For
example, kindness can be as simple as a smile. Please take a look at it and see for yourself how
easy it will be! Remember that kindness often begins at home.

World Day of Prayer for the Sick this
Wednesday, February 11
The ministry of Jesus to the sick is central to the life of
the Church. February 11 (Memorial of our Lady of
Lourdes) highlights the healing ministry of the Church.
It reminds us that service to the sick and suffering
cannot be neglected. It recognizes the great efforts of
doctors, nurses, health care institutions and pastoral care
givers to restore health to those afflicted with illness and
disease. At the 12:15pm Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual
Help this Wednesday, the Sacrament of the Sick will be
available. If anyone is unable to attend and would like
to receive that Sacrament, please call Fr. Gary so
arrangements can be made for him to come to your
home.
