Usage:
• Single drive (CBD2 and CBD4/CBD5), parallel
drive (only CBD4/CBD5)
• Duty cycle: Max. 5% ~ 1 min./19 min., max. 1 min.
at continuous use followed by 19 min. pause
• Ambient temperature: +5 °C to +40 °C
• Storage and transport temperature: -20 °C to
+70 °C
• Approved according to EN60335-1
• DL2 in combination with CBD2, CBD4 and CBD5
is approved according to UL962
Options:

• Hall sensors to ensure memory drive and parallel
drive with CBD4/CBD5
• CBD2 or CBD5 mounted inside the DL2
The DL2 column is designed for workstations and is the
ideal choice for duties such as height adjustment on
computer workstations, work benches or a wide selection of other duties. Inside each column is a modified
LA31 actuator. The LA31 actuator is available in two
versions, specially developed for desk applications:
CBD4/CBD5 system:
LA31 with 12V motor in combination with control box
type CBD4/CBD5, using hall sensor and mini-fit motor
cables. The CBD4 system can run up to 4 DL2’s in parallel. Optional the CBD5 control box can be built-into
the DL2 column.
CBD2 system:
LA31 with a fast motor, double threaded worm gear,
DESKLINE® motor cable (fixed) and the option of hall
sensors for memory drive. The actuator can be used
together with the CBD2 control box for single column
actuator applications. The CBD2 system is only for single drive. Optional the CBD2 control box can be builtinto the DL2 column.
Compared to the LINAK lifting columns LP2, LP3 and
lifting unit DL1, the DL2 combines features such as
high speed and optimum design freedom due to only
one column, at a competitive price, thus making the
column an optimum choice.

LINAK A/S supplies the lifting column with either 8 or 3mm end plates. The DL2 can be prepared for built-in CBD2 or CBD5.
The min. installation dimension for a DL2 with built-in CBD2 is 436/426 mm. (shorter DL2’s are special articles). The min.
installation dimension for built-in CBD5 is 460/450 mm.

CBD4 with a 200W transformer or CBD5: Up to 2 LA31 can be connected. The speed is constant within the working range.
CBD4 with a 300W transformer: Up to 4 LA31 can be connected. The speed is constant within the working range.
DL2 ordered for operation with CBD4 will be delivered with mini-fit connection with a cable length of approximately 100 mm.
DL2 6 mm pitch is only available with 8 mm endplates and max 300 mm stroke length
LA31 in combination with CBD4/CBD5
CBD4 with software 77432 version 1.06 or later must be used. Appropriate version of LA31 is set in the CBD4 using
LINAK configuration software version 1.30 or later.
• Anti-collision is not possible
• Multi-parallel is not possible
• SLS (CBDSLS001) is possible with DL2 produced from April 2008.
Do not use configuration software version 1.31 – use version 1.35 or later
The CBD5 only works with 1 or 2 LA31.
Dimensions
LA31 in combination with CBD4/CBD5 need to be initialized at starting up. When the system is initialized the actuator will
stop before the end switches. The stroke length is therefore reduced and the installation dimension increased. The values
are the same for the different spindle types.

Stability improvements
Compared to the first generation of DL2 single lifting columns we have implemented the following improvements:
• Introduction of 4 corner slide bars, giving less clearance between inner and outer profiles of the column
• Pins mounted in the centre assembly hole in each corner of the inner profile, thereby stiffening the inner profile

Mounting bracket (order no.: 0578006):
The mounting bracket can for example be used for placement of an extra actuator (tilt function), customised cover (for
encapsulation of the DL2), control box computer etc.

The mains cable:
The DL2 with a built-in CBD is delivered with a fixed mains cable. (coiled cable and cable with earth connection are
not options). The cable length wil be reduced by 300 mm +- 100 mm compared to the standard length.
