Universities have a key role in driving forward innovation in the
knowledge economy and contributing to a skilled workforce by
attracting, developing and retaining global talent in their region.
Powering the knowledge economy: universities, cities and innovation
is a one-day national conference organised by Universities UK that
will examine partnerships between cities, universities, businesses
and place makers and explore their role in economic growth.
This conference will explore the latest policy developments and best
practice and will consider how to maximise the local and regional
economic growth benefits from university activities
