Tour of North Butte County Courthouse & Sierra Nevada Brewery
Join ASPE Sacramento for a behind-the-scenes tour of the North Butte County Courthouse, scheduled to
be completed in March 2015 by Otto Construction. Don’t miss the rare chance to see detention cells,
judges’ chambers, and five state-of-the-art courtrooms. This $40M, 77,400 sf building boasts radiant
floor heating, complex low voltage systems, high-end finishes and casework, glass & brick exterior, and
an impressive glass atrium and EIFS soffit that are the focal points of the building. This is an active
construction site - Hardhats, vests, safety glasses and closed-toed shoes will be required.
You can’t visit Chico without a trip to the Sierra Nevada Brewery! ASPE will experience a custom
combination of the Brewhouse Tour and Sustainability Tour. The Brewhouse Tour will highlight the
entire beer-making process and the Sustainability Tour will feature the brewery’s alternative energy
efforts including California’s largest privately owned solar installation (10,500+ panels!), fuel cell
technology, and the remarkable HotRot composter. Beer tasting and lunch will be included.
