TOUR of SHRINERS HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN-NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
Friday, October 16th
Shriners Hospitals for Children and the UC Davis Health System established a foundation for
partnership in the early 1990s when the Shriners sought to locate a new regional pediatric medical
center in Sacramento. The affiliation agreement between the two organizations has made it
possible to achieve nationally recognized programmatic successes.
Opened in 1997, Shriners Hospital for Children-Northern California treats children, under the age
of 18 years, with orthopaedic conditions, spinal cord injuries, burns, cleft lip, scars from any cause,
specialized plastic surgery and other complex pediatric surgical needs. Our hospital is the only
hospital in the Shriners' system that focuses on all areas of treatment as well as research. It also

MEN'S SACRAMENTO TOUR
Thursday, October 15th
This single tour takes in the California Automobile Museum, the Railroad Museum, and the
Shriners Hospital.
California Automobile Museum
Mustang vs. Camaro: What Side Are You On? - June 20, 2015 through October 18, 2015
Has there ever been a rivalry more discussed, more analyzed, or more enjoyed than the Ford
Mustang versus the Chevrolet Camaro? The California Automobile Museum will be displaying
Mustangs and Camaros from throughout their years, comparing and contrasting the cars in good
times — and in bad. These pony cars will be from the first generation in the 1960s and into
modern-day Mustangs and Camaros. The competition between Mustang and Camaro goes
beyond stock cars, however, and the Museum will be featuring specialty vehicles of each as well.
Cars of the Stars. The California Automobile Museum has several famous vehicles throughout the
museum that were on television and cars owned by notable individuals.
California State Railroad Museum
With over 225,000 square feet of total exhibit space, the buildings within the California State
Railroad Museum complex use stimulating exhibits, enthusiastic and knowledgeable docents, and
beautifully restored railroad cars and locomotives to illustrate railroad history in California and the
West.
Throughout the main Railroad History Museum Building, 21 meticulously restored locomotives
and cars and numerous exhibits illustrate how railroads have shaped people's lives, the economy,
and the unique culture of California and the West. Included are a Pullman-style sleeping car, a
dining car filled with railroad china, and a Railway Post Office that visitors can actually step aboard.
The California State Railroad Museum is fully accessible to persons with disabilities. Wherever
possible, access to exhibits is facilitated by wheelchair lifts, two-way video communication systems,
and our friendly staff. Certain exhibits and programs have limited accessibility, due to factors such
as narrow, historic stairways and door openings on railroad passenger cars.
Lunch
Before going on to the Shriners Hospital we will be stopping for lunch in Old Sac. Lunch is on your
own. Check out the list of eateries in Old Sac in the back of this package and select a place to
enjoy your lunch.
