ourselves to you, we have been
appointed by The Welsh
Government to construct
Section 2 of the A465 Heads of
the Valleys. This section
extends from Gilwern to
Brynmawr and includes the
challenging section through
Clydach Gorge.

You will see more of our workforce in the area
over the next few weeks as we start to
undertake site clearance, erection of fences and
setting up site offices. Our Contract
means that we will be working in the area for
three and a half years and will see us based in
offices in Brynmawr (situated in the Foundation
School), Clydach South (situated in the village
hall) and at Glanbaiden (situated in the fields
east of New Pentwyn Farm).
Initially you will see early traffic management
consisting of coned areas to the centre lane
providing a safe working zone and the flexibility
to provide working areas on either side of the
carriageway; this will extend to the main
construction areas where you will see major
earthworks and structures activities.
Occasionally we will have to work at weekends
and during the night; we will always work in
consultation with the Local Authorities and you,
the local community. We acknowledge that
these works could cause disruption and are
keen to work with you to minimise any impact.
