This is just a reminder that INCOMING KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION NIGHT is scheduled for Thursday, February 5, 2015, at 6:00 pm in the Koloa School Cafeteria. Please pick up a registration packet prior to February 5th that will allow us to process these papers faster for you. If you are not able to, please bring the following items to register your child on February 5th: A Utility Bill with a physical address, and your child’s birth certificate. Children born between January 1st – July 31st, 2010, qualify for kindergarten registration. There is no Jr. Kindergarten next year. ! At an assembly on Thursday, our students listened to Daryl “Sammy” Sampaga regarding operation Paddle and Walk for Dreams. Sammy is walking Kauai to raise awareness for Muscular Dystrophy that began on January 17th. Sammy brought his message of hope, standing against bullying, and never giving up to Koloa Elementary students. This journey will take him over a 100 mile trip around the Garden Island. ! Koloa’s upcoming Ohana Picnic is scheduled for Wednesday, February 25th, 11:30 – 12:00. A lunch order form was sent home last week to get an accurate lunch count for that day. We need to have the form back on Monday afternoon, February 9th. We hope to see you there so we can reconnect and celebrate the beginning of 2015. Mahalo! ! 4th grade kalua pig pick up will be on Saturday, January 31st, from 10:00am to 12:00 pm in the Koloa School cafeteria. All of our tickets have been sold so we are not taking any pre-orders at this time. WOW! Thanks for your support! All profits will support the expenses for the 4th grade Big Island trip in May. Again, thank you for helping our 4th graders. ! Just another reminder that Jump Rope for Heart will held at Koloa Elementary on Friday, February 13, 2015. This event will engage Kindergarten thru 5th grade students, culminating with an all school event at the end of the day. We are promoting healthy habits supported by the entire school community.
