Consolidated Afloat Networks and
Enterprise Services (CANES)
The CANES training demonstration shows Northrop Grumman’s
continued support to the customer by providing a mechanism
for enhancing training for fleet system administrators.
Cyber Situational Awareness (CSA)
The Northrop Grumman CSA tool suite is a set of Web-based tools
developed for visualizing, sharing and understanding cyber datasets. User-defined maps of public and private IP-space visually
correlate cyber events and datasets to enhance understanding
of critical behavior on global and enterprise-scale networks.
Secure Communications System (SCS)
The Secure Communications System (SCS) is a next-generation
secure communications solution for the military, government and
large corporations that allows mobile teams to exchange data
efficiently, securely and cost-effectively. The devices within the
system form a meshed network, capable of dynamically reconstituting and reforming as the environment changes. Devices
are able to communicate directly to each other without the
requirement to route via a gateway.
Fire Scout
Bat Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS)
The MQ-8 Fire Scout is the Navy’s only vertical takeoff and landing
Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System. Fire Scout is a versatile, flexible platform that supports both maritime and land-based
missions. Fire Scout is currently deployed on the USS Fort Worth
(LCS-3) and the USS Simpson (FFG-56), and has operated on the
USS Dunham (DDG-109).
Bat is a runway-independent, fully autonomous, modular,
medium-altitude, multi-mission UAS. Bat can be configured
with different sensor payloads for maximum mission flexibility,
and has been configured for tactical missions such as
communications relay, Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Electronic
Warfare (EW), search and rescue, and port or maritime
surveillance. Bat is Beyond-Line-Of-Sight (BLOS) capable.
BioSled Tactical Biometrics Device
Recent biometric mobility developments have led to the design of
a single form factor device that serves as a lightweight, low-cost
biometric sled. This biometric sled is designed to meet strict
Department of Defense requirements for use in a tactical environment, while still providing an affordable and flexible solution
that fits many use cases worldwide. The customized form factor
builds a semi-rugged case around the host Android smartphone.
Northrop Grumman’s BioSled packs extended battery power,
and utilizes our high-performance biometric mobility Android
software to achieve standards-based data capture.
Secure Network Appliance (SNApp)
SNApp is a cost-effective small form factor secure network communications device that meets an urgent need for simultaneous,
multiple independent levels of access to highly secure, classified
and unclassified networks, anywhere in the world. SNApp securely
wraps all the traditional components of a larger legacy system
into a small, rack-mountable, secure enclosure.
UCAS
The X-47B UCAS is an autonomous system, currently with
two aircraft, designed to operate from the decks of aircraft
carriers (CVNs) or ashore. The system has recently demonstrated interoperability with Carrier Air Wing aircraft while
at sea and is setting the stage for the development of a
more permanent, carrier-based fleet of unmanned aircraft.
Virtual Immersive Portable Environment (VIPE)
Holodeck System
The VIPE is a 360° immersive, projector based, low-cost,
portable environment used for adaptive training and afteraction analytics. The VIPE supports high-fidelity 3-D models
and environments, artificial intelligence, simulated systems
and data tracking.
