There will be a brief softball meeting for all girls interested in playing softball this year

Attention Spanish, French, and German Club Members! We will be having a Carnaval/Mardi
Gras party after school tomorrow. Come to Room 355 after school to celebrate and have fun



The Anime Club is hosting a rock concert TONIGHT starting at 7:00 PM in the Auditorium.
Featured artists include Willy White and Vince Pazera. Tickets are $3 and will be sold during all
school lunches Wednesday through Friday. Tickets will also be on sale before the show outside
of the Auditorium and during the first 90 minutes of the show. Purchase your tickets for what is
sure to be a rocking good time!


The Indian Prairie Public Library is hosting a 5 vs. 5 League of Legends Tournament tonight at
6:00 PM. Participants are responsible for organizing their own teams. The library will provide
laptops but you can bring your own. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team.

Winter Dance tickets will be on sale for $20 outside the Cafeteria during all lunch periods.
Tickets purchased at the door will be $25. This year’s dance will have a new look, location and
feel. Come to the SIX THIRTY as a couple or group to experience a new type of dance.

signed by a parent and turned in by this Friday. Space is limited. Please see Mrs. Fichter or Mrs.
Kozlick in the Guidance Office if you have any questions.

The Indian Prairie Public Library is hosting a 5 vs. 5 League of Legends Tournament on Friday,
February 13th at 6:00 PM. Participants are responsible for organizing their own teams. The
library will provide laptops but you can bring your own. Prizes will be awarded to the winning


Buy and send that special someone a flower. Flowers will be sold outside the Café during all
lunch periods through today. The cost is $2.00 for one flower or 2 flowers for $3.00. Flowers will
be delivered on Friday, February 13th during the morning classes.

please go to Hinsdale South’s Athletics 2000 website (the link is on the school’s homepage).
Make sure you are signed up and have a current physical on file before our season begins. All
are welcome, and anyone can join! Questions? See Coach Amolsch in the West PE Office.

The 2015 Badminton season is right around the corner! Stop at the weight room after school on
Tuesdays and Thursdays through and get in some pre-season conditioning with the rest of the
badminton girls! The senior captains will be there and will answer any of the questions you
have. Come dressed in workout clothes. Workouts are usually done by 4 PM and will continue
through the month of February. Tryouts begin Monday, March 2nd. Any questions? See Mr.
Charters in the English Office, Ms. McAvoy in the Math Office, or Mr. Beiterman in the Science
Office.


Your Hinsdale South Speech Team is headed to Regionals this weekend and we want to show
you our talents. Please join us in the Little Theatre today from 3:15 to 6 PM as we take you on a
speech journey of acting pieces, poetry, prose, radio, student written speeches, public address
and the premiere of THE LORAX by Dr. Seuss. This event is FREE!

Are you the strongest kid in your grade? Do your friends think you’re “swole?” Do you think you
have the physical strength to out-pull Mr. Gotlund, Mr. Mott, Mr. Bieterman, Mr. Hallihan, and
Mr. O’Brien during a tug of war competition in front of the whole school? If so, sign up to
participate in the Student vs. Staff Assembly on Friday, February 13th! You can sign up in one of
two ways. First, check your email for a link to sign up online, as well as more information about
the other events that will be taking place at the assembly. You can also sign up at the tables
outside of the Cafeteria next Monday or Tuesday during all lunch periods. All students who sign

up! The Counseling Department will be sponsoring a field trip to COD on Thursday, February
19th. This field trip will provide you with very important information and you will have the
opportunity to have all your questions answered. We will also take a tour of the campus. To sign
up for the field trip, pick up a permission slip from Mrs. Kozlick in the Guidance Office. It must be
signed by a parent and turned in by Friday, February 13th. Space is limited. Please see Mrs.

Your Hinsdale South Speech Team is headed to Regionals this weekend and we want to show
you our talents. Please join us in the Little Theatre this Friday from 3:15-6pm as we take you on
a speech journey of acting pieces, poetry, prose, radio, student written speeches, public address
and the premiere of THE LORAX by Dr. Seuss. This event is FREE!

Do you love music? Do you know the lyrics to most of the songs on the radio? Do you think you
have what it takes to embarrass Ms. Bauer, Ms. Aquino, Ms. Zaleski and Ms. Chatman during a
lyrics battle in front of the whole school? If so, sign up to participate in the student versus staff
