Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 King Solomon says with unparalleled wisdom. “Two people are better than one…” He then goes on to describe three benefits of belonging. • STRENGTH First, belonging to a church family provides strength. Solomon had discovered a principle that holds true for every epoch of time—none of us can do alone what all of us can do together. There is strength in numbers. • SUPPORT Second, belonging to a church family provides support. That’s what we’re supposed to do for one another. The Bible says, “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2 • SPIRITUAL WARMTH Last, belonging to a church family provides spiritual warmth. Anytime one of God’s children gets separated from the family, our fire starts to go out and spirits grow cold. One of the important reasons the church meets together every Sunday is to stir each other up. Challenge: To pray for young families with children and teens to desire to know the Lord and allow us to work alongside to help them grow. Mark Blankenship – my daughter, Heather for health concerns.
