Praise Him!” No. 106 *THE INVOCATION AND THE LORD’S PRAYER CALL TO CONFESSION PRAYER OF CONFESSION: O God, our Father, forgive us for our many sins. We fall short of Your glory so often, and when we do, we run and hide in shame instead of running to You to confess our sin and find joy and forgiveness in the cross. Forgive us for trusting in our own strength more than in Your grace and power to save us completely. Jesus, we thank You for coming into our world and lives. We believe You have been tempted in every way as we have, yet without sin. We do not fully understand the humility, love and commitment that took You to the cross. Your sacrifice is beyond our experience and comprehension. But we choose to turn to You again and ask to be made whole again. In Jesus’ name, Amen. (Silent prayer for confession of personal sin.) THE ASSURANCE OF PARDON *THE GLORIA PATRI: Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost: as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. A-men, A - men. *THE APOSTLES’ CREED THE UNISON READING: Psalm 32: 1-5; 11 Blessed is he whose transgression are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit. When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD” and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart!
