The Liaison MARCH 2015 LAKEWOOD SHORES POA FROM THE BEACH CLUB As we have bid farewell to our chef Bill McDaniel, we are going to try to continue with our regular winter hours. Our kitchen assistant Samantha will be stepping in to help keep the Beach Club open. Tuesday and Wednesday lunches will remain the same as well as Sunday breakfast. The Friday night menu will be scaled back considerably. All these days will remain open as long as we have attendance. Please be patient as we go through this transition and prepare for hiring of our next cook/chef. Thank you for your patronage! Board vacancies to be filled. The Board of Directors will have vacancies that will need to be filled at the Annual Meeting of the Members on June 20th. For those members interested in placing their name on the ballot, please contact the administration office or any current board member by April 24th. This will allow enough time to have the biographical sketches of each candidate printed in the spring issue of the “Reflections” due out by the May 6 deadline. DON’T FORGET… • Visa, Master Card & Discover cards accepted. • Have your card available when using the amenities. • Wi-Fi available in the Beach Club • Notary and Fax service available in the office ~ Fax no. 739-7556 INSIDE THIS ISSUE: Letter from the President 2 Bank Reconciliation 2 The “Buzz” 3 Calendar 4 Classifieds & Ads 5-6 PAGE 2 President’s Corner Valentines Day 2015 will be one to remember here in the LSPOA. The wind chill factor was close to record setting as was the Valentines Day dinner at the Beach Club. Members came in great numbers despite the frigid weather conditions, and enjoyed maybe one of the best Valentine Beach Club experiences in recent club history. Thank you all who shared in this special evening and a big thanks to the talented Beach Club staff who made this outing one to remember. Now that the holidays have passed, I would like to share our BOD projects with you and welcome your input as we work toward making the LSPOA a great place to live, work and play. • To develop a vision and mission statement that adequately reflects who we are and gives directions to our future. • To develop a sound marketing plan to promote the desirability of property ownership in our LSPOA. • To develop a sound plan to best address the renovation of our exiting tennis courts. In closing...please remember that by “WORKING TOGETHER” our future is much brighter!
