Hardware Software Training Applications ibaPDA-S7-Analyzer In brief ■■ Data acquisition system for SIMATIC S7 with interfaces for measurement: - Ethernet TCP/IP - Profibus - MPI ■■ Works also with WinAC and PLCSIM ■■ Sampling time based on S7 system services ■■ 64 signals to be measured, more on request ■■ Signal selection by address book browser or drag and drop (with CFC-plans) ■■ Range of functions like ibaPDA-V6 ■■ Can be installed on Siemens programming device (PG), no additional PC required ibaPDA-V6 ■■ Data acquisition and data analysis can be performed independently or at the same time ■■ ibaAnalyzer included ■■ Also available as plugin for ibaPDA-V6 ■■ Group licenses for departments and companies Measurement from the beginning The software product ibaPDA-S7-Analyzer has been de signed especially for automation suppliers, PLC engineers, service technicians and commissioning engineers. It enables the user to measure and record signals of a SIMATIC S7 PLC for a fair price if a scan cycle synchronous sampling is not absolutely required. Potential error sources can be located easier and eliminated already during engineering. iba AG offers more communication solutions for measurements made synchronous with the PLC scan cycle. Low-cost ibaPDA-System for SIMATIC S7 For measuring and recording of global S7 operands (I, Q, M, PI, DB) and CFC-connectors from supported SIMATIC S7-3001), S7-4001), S7-12001) and S7-15001) and in conjunction with the Soft-PLC WinAC (WinLC RTX) and the simulation tool PLCSIM2). All standard functions of ibaPDA-V6 apply. 64 signals (and more) Up to 64 signals in total can be measured. The shares of digital and analog signals are variable. Signals are all measurable S7 operands and connectors of the blocks (FC and FB) in the S7 PLC plan. If ibaPDA-S7Analyzer is used as a supplement with a standard ibaPDA‑V6 system, more than 64 signals can be measured. Full analysis function ibaPDA-S7-Analyzer creates data files (*.dat) which can be analyzed by the standard tool ibaAnalyzer. The user can take advantage of the entire range of ibaAnalyzer’s analysis functions. Due to the separation of data acquisition and data analysis it is possible to do the analysis in parallel to the acquisition or later. Use it on SIMATIC programming device (PG) Due to the integration of the Siemens PG interfaces in the I/O management of ibaPDA-S7-Analyzer the system can run on a SIMATIC PG. No further PC is required. 1) Subject to technical modifications by SIEMENS and special models 2) Tailored interfaces Depending on the hard- and software equipment there are different access points available for data acquisition. TCP/IP: The connection to the SIMATIC S7 is established over CPU3) or CP boards in the PLC and the standard network interface of the PC. No Siemens software needs to be installed on the PC for measurement. PC/CP: This collective label stands for 4 different access points which are SIMATIC-specific. MPI, Profibus: Connection to the MPI, resp. Profibus interface of SIMATIC S7. Adapters for a serial, USB or TCP/IP interface can be used at PC side. TCP/IP, ISO: The connection to the SIMATIC S7 is established either over the standard network interface of the PC or an appropriate PC card. Please note that the appropriate hardware drivers must be installed on the PC for all access points of the PC/CP group (e. g. MPI-USB-adapter, SOFTNET or other). Drag and Drop Easy to configure ibaPDA-S7-Analyzer can detect automatically the active CPUs and CPs which can be reached over the interface. They are displayed in the I/O manager and can be assigned to a measurement module simply by mouse click. Convenient signal selection The selection of signals to be measured can be done conveniently in the ibaPDA I/O manager either by entering the operand address or by browsing through the address books (can be used in Step7 projects) and selecting the symbolic name of the signal. When using the Step7 CFC-editor (v 6.0 or higher) on the same PC the signals or connectors to be measured can be dragged directly out of the PLC plan and dropped into the signal table of ibaPDA-S7-Analyzer. Does not run on Windows 7 3) ibaAnalyzer Only CPUs with Ethernet port supporting TCP/IP www.iba-ag.com ibaPDA-S7-Analyzer TCP/IP PLC type S7-300®, S7-400®, S7-1200®1), S7-1500®1), WinAC (WinLC RTX) CPU or CP of SPS S7-300: CPU2) or CP343-1 S7-400: CPU2) or CP443-1 Interface board of PC or PG Access to S7 process data via Ethernet TCP/IP without Siemens software on the PC Standard network connection Access via absolute operands only 2) Only CPUs with Ethernet port supporting TCP/IP 1) ibaPDA-S7-Analyzer PC/CP (Profibus, MPI, TCP/IP ISO) PLC type S7-300®, S7-400® CPU or CP of SPS all CPUs Interface board of PC or PG CP 5511, CP 5512 ...
