P.S. 69 IS BRINGING BACK OPEN SCHOOL WEEK!
MARCH 9TH – MARCH 17TH, 2015
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Due to the success of our November Open School Week, and in an effort to continue to
enhance our home/school connection, you are cordially invited to visit our classrooms to
observe your child(ren) at work!
Based on your feedback, we will be having you engage in Math Instruction with your
child. To ensure a productive visit, kindly observe the following rituals and routines as our
“guest mathematicians” on these special days!
**You are expected to enter and exit school using EXIT 2 ONLY (on Keating Place) where
Building Response Team Members will greet and guide you to our classrooms.
**You are expected to remain with the “guests” in your child’s class at all times and are
prohibited from leaving the classroom to tour the building and/or go to the main office.
**You are asked not to confer with the teacher during this visit. This will be done at ParentTeacher Conferences on March 19, 2015.
**Adult guests are to refrain from bringing food and/or drinks into our hallways or any of our
classrooms.
**All cellphones are on vibrate and “invisible” to the student eye!
**There is absolutely no videotaping and/or use of recording devices during Open School
Week. Ipads, cellphones, video cameras, camcorders, etc. are strictly prohibited!
** Please do not park in the “No Parking” or “No Standing” areas alongside the school.
**Adult guests are not to bring younger siblings on these special visits as all guests will be
engaged in math instruction and/or math task activities.
