Oral Health Screening
The Dental Clinic visited our school February 18 and 19 for their
yearly Oral health screening.
Ms Antonucci, School Health Nurse e-mailed notices to all the
parents and/or sponsors who had children with a dental concern
as identified by the Dentist. Please make the necessary follow-up
to this notice.
If you did NOT receive a notice via e-mail your child/ren were
found not to have any Dental concerns. Our dental health
program is designed to support and encourage your efforts to
provide the best dental health for your children. If you have any
questions feel free to contact the school health nurse 430-5200.
4th Grade Robotics Club
Begins March 10th
TerraNova testing takes
place during the week of
March 9-13 in the mornings.
Please try to avoid any
medical or other
appointments this week, as
well as any family trips,
so that all students in
grades 3-5 may complete
the annual testing.
Students will work in groups of 2-3 to design, construct, and program a
Lego Mindstorms NXT© robot to meet specific challenges. Limited to the
first 20 fourth grade students to apply. A waiting list will be maintained.
If your child does not make it into this group of 4th graders then they will
participate in a following Robotics Club group. Please return the
attached form to Mr. Humphreys in Room #217 as soon as possible to
reserve your spot.
The planned meeting dates for this group are: 10, 17, 19, 24, 26, 31
March & 2 April.
Robotics Club meets in the back of the School Library from 2:40- 3:30.

March: Courage Each week, your PES
Guidance & Counseling Program
highlights one
student from each class who demonstrates the character
trait of the month. The character trait for the month of
March is Courage. What did the Cowardly Lion in The
Wonderful Wizard of Oz seek? Courage! Courage allows
us to be in control, to face difficulty, danger, or pain.
With courage we can determine what frightens or
challenges us, and find ways to cope with our fears and
challenges. It takes courage to do what is right in the face
of opposition. It takes courage to stand up for yourself,
especially in the face of peer pressure. It also takes
courage to be responsible and accept consequences of
our actions instead of complaining and blaming others.
Congratulations to the following students for
demonstrating the character trait of the month, Courage.
