Papa Murphy Fundraiser March 21, 2015, 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. For every Large or
Family Pizza sold that day, our Club will receive $2. Volunteers
(2 people/2 hour shift) are needed to greet and thank customers for supporting the many Optimist sponsored youth events.
Papa Murphy Discount Cards are available for purchase at anytime. Thanks to Emily Daws and Diane Cepon for taking the
leadership with this new fundraiser. Let’s make this day a
HUGE success…don’t forget to wear your Blue Optimist Shirts...
let the community know that you are proud to be an Optimist.
Nominations Seems like we just finished electing the 2014-15 Optimist Board
Members, doesn’t it? Our Election Year Activities span a two
month period—March & April. Dale Gullickson, President-elect, is chairing the Nominations Committee. If
you have an interest in ‘throwing your hat into the
ring’ for being a board member or vice president,
please let Dale know by March 4th.
Remembering Ray Bayley Ray was a Charter Member of our Club in 1961. At his
memorial service, there was a table dedicated to his
work with the Optimist Club. In recent years, his declining health prevented him from attending our
weekly meeting, but, he continued his membership
from 1961-2015(54 years). Rest in Peace.
Expand your Horizons Consider participating at an event this year that you
have not worked in the past...such as…Meals on
Wheels, Spaghetti Dinners, “Grab and Go Lunch’, Fire
on the River, Culver Share Night, Pizza Hut Night,
Food Pantry Distribution Day, Nut/Candy Sale at Bank
of Prairie du Sac. The list goes on and on….try something new!
