Scope of Project: Lab Renovation: Architectural, MEP,
ACM Abatement
This project will improve the quality, functionality, and
adaptability of Biltmore Hall’s first floor lab area on the
south side of the building. The complete renovation will
encompass rooms 1026, 1001, 1002, 1004, 1005, 1006,
1007, and perimeter corridor 1000. The project will involve
architectural and MEP design, including ACM abatement.
Rooms 1001, 1002, 1004, and corridor 1000 shall be
renovated into flexible lab and office space to support
future College of Natural Resources research projects. A
new east-west corridor shall be located north of the
majority of the renovated area. Room 1026 shall be
renovated to provide work space, and field & instructional
equipment storage and check out to support the college’s
teaching lab functions. Rooms 1005, 1006 and 1007 shall
be renovated to labs to support existing college research
projects.

Project Scope Description: The documents in review
reflect recent review comments made by Duke Energy
regarding compliance with their high power line utility
easement as well as comments made by City of
Raleigh regarding removal of the storm water pond
from the project scope. The project will modify the
existing south side surface parking lot at the
State Farmers Market along Centennial Parkway in
Raleigh, North Carolina, proximate to the NCSU
Centennial Campus for a weekday park-and-ride facility.
The project will reconfigure and add to existing parking
areas; approximately 205 parking spaces. The project will
also include a bus shelter, lighting, landscaped concrete
curb and gutter, pedestrian walkways, chain link perimeter
fence and gate and an access road connection to Lake
Wheeler Road.
