Course Announcement
“Remote Sensing Ground Segment Systems”
(22 – 27 June, 2015)
National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) is one of the premier centers of Indian Space
Research Organization (ISRO), under the Department of Space, Government of India
has the prime responsibility to acquire payload data from the remote sensing satellites
and generate the products for user requirements under ISRO’s space research and
development programme.
Integrated Multi mission Ground segment for Earth Observation Satellites (IMGEOS) is a
remote sensing satellite data product generation system, conceived with an objective to
provide a highly reliable, easily adaptable system to cater for future mission requirements
using state-of–art technologies and world class infrastructure in order to achieve reduced
turn around time for generation and dissemination of Remote Sensing data products.
The main objective of this course is to enhance the knowledge of Earth Station Officials
and people intrested in Earth Station operations towards detailed understanding of Remote
Sensing Ground Segment Systems.
Course Schedule:
The course is 6 days duration scheduled during 22 - 27 June 2015, including 2 day exposure
to earth station operations and ground segment systems at IMGEOS Facility Shadnagar.
Course content:
The course covers broadly about IRS Ground Segment systems.
